Ward 9 (Sandbourne Suite) incorporates an Admission Suite, Day Surgery services and Interventional Radiology.

The post holder will work closely with the band 7 to lead the team, motivate staff, help set the direction for service improvement, implement change, role model demonstrating the behaviours expected from all the staff with regard to displaying excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism, upholding the Organisations Values.

You will ensure the delivery of high quality clinical care with an excellent patient experience. The ability to communicate effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team is essential and required in order to build successful links between key professionals to support and promote effective multi-disciplinary team working. You will be supported in this post by the ward team, Ambulatory Surgical Matron and the wider surgical senior leadership team.

We are looking to appoint Specialty Doctors in Emergency Medicine at University Hospitals Dorset to work at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital site, just a stone’s throw from the glorious blue flag beaches of Bournemouth and Poole (we know we're biased).

The Emergency Medicine team at UHD have a significant amount of experience and expertise in supporting doctors through the CESR programme, many of whom who now work as substantive consultants at both sites. We are currently run a CESR programme which includes a bespoke professional development plan tailored to meeting the needs of the individual doctor including availability of placements in Critical Care, Anaesthetics, Acute medicine and Paediatrics, as well as mentor support from a consultant that has previously attained CESR. There is the option for successful candidates to participate in this programme if desired.

Recently Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals have undergone merger into UHD,

At present there is an Emergency Department at both Poole and Bournemouth sites, with RBH being the designated site for PCI and stroke thrombolysis, and Poole being the designated Major Trauma Unit as well as in patient paediatric services.

This is all set to change at the end of 2024 when the Trauma Unit status moves across to Bournemouth and the ED will move into a new state of the art department in the Beach Building, alongside Paediatrics, Critical Care and Maternity.

This is an ideal opportunity for an anaesthetist with 3 or more years’ experience to consolidate their expertise with an on-going commitment to career development and education. The successful applicant will provide critical care cover and anaesthetic theatre work both in and out of normal working hours, with onsite and distant supervision by a Consultant Anaesthetist/Intensivist.

To provide resident cover for the Critical Unit in office hours; as well as shifts of cover with non-resident supervision by a Consultant Intensivist out of hours. Additionally he/she/them will provide anaesthesia during daytime hours for the surgical and interventional specialties within the Trust, again with indirect (onsite) supervision from Consultants.

As a Sales Ledger Clerk, you will oversee the daily operations and management of the sales and purchase ledger processes. You’ll ensure every transaction is handled smoothly, efficiently, and on time, while adhering to company procedures, compliance standards, and legal requirements.

Responsibilities for the Sales Ledger Clerk:

• Processing supplier invoices and raising and sending customer invoices
• Data input to internal systems and setting up new customer accounts

• Managing overdue accounts, liaising internally, and escalating issues when required
