We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated individual with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills to lead our fast paced, administration team.

The post holder will have overarching responsibility for the management of the administration team which is based across Dorset. You will ensure the smooth operation of the service ensuring appropriate cover is provided across teams and locations during operational hours. You will co-ordinate support to clinicians to make the best use of the resources available and play a key role in projects to develop the administration service and streamline processes as well as working closely with the Perinatal Service Lead and Community Team Lead

This is a varied role, you'll be given the autonomy to make decisions and work independently, with the support of the service and team leads, as and when needed.

Based in Dorset, the job will include (in addition to the requirements in the person specification):
• Managing the administration functions, systems and processes of the service.
• Develop administration systems and functions in conjunction with the manager
• Direct line management of the Administration Supervisors and an overarching responsibility for the administration team staff
• Undertake specific and defined pieces of work to support the Service Managers and service projects.
• Delegated responsibility for the Administration budget

Work will be managed, with clearly defined objectives which the post holder will prioritise and deliver, but priorities may change, and the post holder will need to be adaptable.

We currently looking for a Mental Health Nurse (RMN) band 5 (with professional registration) for our Rehabilitation Unit in Westbourne, Bournemouth.

Nightingale House is a 13 bedded, mixed gender community rehab unit set on the Alumhurst Rd site within walking distance to both Westbourne shops and to the beach. The unit supports people who have chronic and disabling mental health problems that may be treatment resistant, often providing a stepping stone for those who have previously spent long periods in hospital. We have another inpatient unit in the West of the county in Dorchester.

Both inpatient teams work closely with our newly established Community Rehab Teams to provide a seamless transition from inpatient into the community, ensuring the patient is supported on this stage of their recovery journey. Staff work hard to facilitate further recovery, that can include supporting self-medication, gaining skills for more independent living such as cooking, shopping, budgeting and supporting individuals to access community activities (leisure and vocational).

This role requires a registered professional who is motivated, driven and passionate about developing an outstanding service for the individuals we serve.



To assist the Ward Manager in providing high quality nursing care and treatment of patients in conjunction with other professionals through the service’s multi-disciplinary assessment, treatment, interventions and care programmes, which will include close liaison with family, carers, community teams, GP’s, and other professionals involved in the person’s care, enabling them to move on to the community as soon as is practicable.

To work with people to help them acquire or regain the skills and confidence required for them to ultimately live in the community. An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the Liaison Psychiatry Service at Royal Bournemouth Hospital. We have a vacancy for a Band 3 support worker to join a well established Liaison Psychiatry Team.

The support worker will be employed by Dorset Healthcare University Foundation Trust and work as part of the Liaison Psychiatry Team within Royal Bournemouth Hospital .

The experienced support worker will be expected to work individually with adults and older adults. The emphasis will be on building therapeutic relationships, 1:1 support at a time of crisis and carrying out care plans under the supervision of a qualified practitioner. You will possess brief intervention skills and be familiar with DBT skills and have a willingness to learn other therapeutic skills.

Though the support worker will be carrying out work in the general hospital wards they will be working under the supervision of the Liaison Psychiatry team and will report directly to the Liaison Psychiatry team clinician in charge of the shift (Single Point Of Contact: SPOC).

To provide flexible support to adults within the acute hospitals experiencing a range of mental health issues (including anxiety, depression, complex trauma, personality disorder, emotional instability, suicidal ideation and addiction) under the supervision and /or in conjunction with a senior members of the team.

The experienced support worker will have experience of working with people with a range of needs including drug and alcohol, homelessness alongside their mental health needs. You will have experience of delivering therapeutic brief and short term interventions.

We are looking for an inspirational Team Leader who would like to join our community CAMHS team.

The post is offered on as a full-time 37.5 hours permanent basis.

As Team Leader you will work alongside the Clinical Services Manager and enhanced clinical practitioner in leading the service and ensuring that the highest quality of care is delivered to children and families. You'll be part of the Senior Leadership Team and have the opportunity to influence Team and Service development.

1. This post will form part of the Bournemouth and Christchurch CAMHs senior leadership team which will be responsible for the delivery of the highest standards of care and services for children and young people with mental health problems and their families.

2. The post holder will support the Clinical Service Manager and Clinical team to provide inspirational leadership of multidisciplinary clinicians to ensure effective, evidence based assessment and treatment, accessible care pathways and a culture of continuous quality improvement.

3. The post holder will be accountable to the Clinical Service Manager for aspects of service delivery, bringing together all component parts to ensure robust patient safety, improved patient experience, clinical outcomes, quality and performance standards. S/he will deputise for the Clinical Service Manager when required.

4. The post holder will support the clinical development of team members to provide services that are accessible and responsive to needs.

5. To promote participation of service users and carers in their own care and in the planning and development of services.

6. To have oversight of referrals in to the Service.

7. To take clinical and line management responsibility for clinical staff ensuring they deliver a high quality, young person focused service.

8. Work in partnership with Local Authority Colleagues – attending strategic multi-agency LA meeting, complex needs panels.

South Coast Medical Group (SCMG) PCN has an exciting opportunity to recruit a new permanent First Contact Specialist Mental Health Practitioner working in the SCMG PCN through the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS). Successful candidates must be experienced mental health practitioners with a special interest in complex mental health or willing to undergo further training in this area. Primary Care experience is not essential, however a good understanding of how Primary Care works would be beneficial.. The ARRS role is intended to focus services on local communities and local GP practices to help rebuild and reconnect healthcare teams across the communities they serve. The focus will be on preventative and personalisation of care, whilst working together to make the best use of shared resources.

This is an exciting role for someone who is proactive and passionate about innovation and providing high-quality care to people who have been identified as in need of mental health support in a primary care setting. This role will work in the local community alongside our Mental Health GPs to provide early assessment, treatment recommendations and improved access to appropriate care pathways whilst providing time limited evidence-based interventions for people with mental health difficulties/illnesses.

The practitioner will access and link with secondary mental health services and help provide a “bridge” between primary care and secondary mental health providers. This will make it easier for people accessing services to obtain the help they need, reducing that gaps that patients fall between. The successful applicant will be embedded as part of the SCMG PCN clinical team whilst working within the multi-disciplinary team. This post will also be closely linked to the Community Mental Health Team, Steps to Wellbeing Service and We Are With You, amongst other 3rd sector and specialist organisations.



Within the job role you will improve access by being a ‘first contact mental health worker’ providing triage, assessment, brief interventions and lead on development and implementation of specialist mental health training in the primary care network. The practitioner will facilitate onward access to other secondary care-based services, third sector services and link in with existing support services through the Primary Care Network.

We provide Rehabilitation and Assertive Outreach services to individuals with psychosis and severe mental illness. As an Assistant Psychologist you will support the clinical/counselling psychologists in post across inpatient and community team settings.

We are looking for individuals who are reliable, dynamic, with good organisational skills, and an interest or experience in supporting individuals with psychosis.

The role will support people to reach an optimum level of function; focussing on activities of daily living, vocation and leisure under the direction of qualified clinical/counselling psychologists.

The Assistant Psychologist will receive clinical supervision/training to provide low intensity psychological assessment/intervention, neuro-psychological screening and psycho-educational groupwork.

In addition, the Assistant Psychologist will undertake research and development activities under the guidance of a clinical psychologist.
