We are looking for a female support worker to join our fantastic teams supporting adults with learning disabilities in their own home in Newbury.
You will be working in people’s homes, so it’s important you can connect, share interests and be interested. They enjoy shopping trips, popping out for coffee, planning and going on holidays and days out, Music and swimming. They are also members of a local activities project.
If you have an interest in any of these or other activities and hobbies you feel would make a difference to the lives of the people we support in Newbury and you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could plan, communicate and deliver support with and alongside people, then this is the place for you.
The people we support like to get out and about and have their own vehicles, so you will need to be a driver and willing to drive their vehicles. For this you should have a full UK manual driving licence and have held it for at least 1 year for insurance purposes.
we have fulltime posts available and you must be able to work shifts across the week and some weekends, including sleep in shifts where needed.
"Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010".
