This post is for a suitably qualified Audiologist with a proven track record of providing excellent clinical services, working with adults and children.

To work as part of the audiology team to provide auditory diagnostics and rehabilitation for our adult and paediatric services.

Perform routine audiological investigations on individuals of all ages to support the differential diagnosis of auditory dysfunction.

Provide and assist in second-tier community paediatric audiology clinics, using age-appropriate testing techniques including VRA and producing reports to various medical and education colleagues

Agree on aural rehabilitation for patients of all ages, including the selection, fitting and exchange of a range of NHS digital hearing aids, the taking of aural impressions and advising on assistive listening devices.

Advising junior colleagues on treatment plans and technical issues

Support the delivery of the paediatric diagnostic and rehabilitation service working closely with Audiovestibular clinicians and senior Audiologists. This will include the provision of diagnostic ABR to the NHSP population.

Complete routine follow-up checks of hearing aid use

Undertake routine hearing aid repair/servicing clinics

Perform advanced tests of middle ear function, tinnitus evaluation and objective measurement procedures.

Perform ward visits to in-patients requiring assessment or hearing aid issues or repair

Provide expert audiological support for ENT and Audiological Medicine clinics

Undertake assessments of adult patients with hearing difficulties using the direct referral system

Offer wax removal, including micro-suction clinics

Provide cover for colleagues as required

This is a developmental role, no previous hospital or pharmacy experience is required just a willingness to take on a dynamic and rewarding role supplying medicines. You will be supported to work towards rotational objectives and undertake an NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services. After successful completion of band 2 objectives you will then be supported to complete ‘band 2 to 3 progression objectives’.

You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills, basic IT skills and have a good attention to detail. Evidence of previous basic experience of stock control & maintenance, such as stock rotation, ordering and/or receiving stock should be included in your application.

This is a Consultant in Frailty appointment anticipated to commence as soon as possible. This 10PA post with GIM on calls will be based flexibly across both St Helier Hospital and the place of Sutton, and will support the further development of integrated services for people with frailty. This is a full time 10 PA post required to cover locum vacancy and to meet the increasing demand for Imaging in the Trust. This post aims to support the general Radiology work across all out trust sites including CT, MRI and Ultrasound with candidates keen to develop subspecialty that compliments the skill mix of the department.

The successful applicant will join a team of 25 Consultant Radiologists each of whom provides a general radiological service including Plain film reporting, Ultrasound, CT and MRI as well as having a subspecialty interest. The successful applicant will be expected to work cross site and join the out of hour’s rota to provide evening and weekend cover. Overnight services are externally outsourced.



This proposed plan is for a 10PA post with 8 Direct Clinical care sessions including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, plain film reporting.



There will be 2 sessions supporting professional activities and the flexibility in the job plan will discussed in detail on appointment



Job plans will be reviewed annually, following an appraisal meeting. The job plan will be a prospective agreement that sets out a Specialists’ typical working pattern, duties, objectives and responsibilities for the coming year. It will cover all aspects of a Specialists’ professional practice including clinical work, teaching, research, education, managerial responsibilities and external commitments.



On appointment of the post holder, the Clinical Director will commence discussions to finalise the job plan which will become operational on appointment. The job plan is an indicative plan of the duties the post holder is likely to be asked to undertake.
