JOB SUMMARY

Specific Responsibilities
1. Co-ordinate the implementation of a Divisional clinical governance programme linked to the Trust’s overall agenda.
2. Assemble and analyse quantitative and qualitative information (with divisional and directorate leads) in ways that assist staff in reflecting, and improving on service delivery and practice.
3. 6. Facilitate and support divisional resources to Co-ordinate, and report against the activities of divisional quality and clinical governance groups

• Be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of haemato-oncology clinical pharmacy service, under the overall direction of the Lead Oncology Pharmacist

Cellular Pathology has a vacancy for a Band 6 Specialist Biomedical Scientist. This is a permanent position, 37.5 hours per week. The successful
candidate will be hardworking, reliable, flexible and must work well within a team.


Cellular Pathology comprises Histology and Non-gynae cytology, supported by a comprehensive immunohistochemistry service.

We receive around 33,000 histology and 3,000 non-gynae requests per year. The post will be based at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital.
