The Director of Estates Optimisation will be responsible for representing the Trust in relation to estates optimisation across the Kent and Medway Integrated Care System (ICS), Integrated Care Board (ICB) and
the Health and Care Partnerships (HCPs). Accountable to the Trust executives, the post holder will operate as a member of the senior management team, responsible for creating, maintaining and executing an
evidence-based estates optimisation strategy and operating model and ensuring it aligns with the values and objectives of the Trust. Forging strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be key to ensuring the sharing of best practice and learning and the post holder will act as an ambassador for the Trust at all times, promoting the Trust values, philosophy and objectives

The Director of Estates Optimisation is a critical leadership and professional role accountable for ensuring a property portfolio of around £66m is optimised to meet the Trust’s needs taking account of:
• Suitability of premises for both clinical activity and support services
• Cost of occupying, including relation to frequency and flexibility of use
• Accessibility for patients and access to patients

The postholder will be responsible for representing the Trust in relation to estates optimisation across the ICS and H&CPs. A major component of the role will be leading multi-disciplinary teams across the wider system to achieve national and local system objectives and visions. This will also include chairing the West Kent HCP Estates Steering Group and East Kent/Thanet Steering Group amongst other system meetings and projects.

What you will be doing:

• Lead and participate in sales activities and help control quality of business accepted. Work closely with wealth advisors, relationship managers, portfolio managers and other wealth management professionals in the cultivation of trust business opportunities (i.e. trust, custody, and escrow). Serves as the trust relationship manager for selected significant accounts. Maintain extensive contact with clients and prospects and their respective advisors.

• Works with both internal and external clients;

Who you are:

• 10 years of trust administrative experiences is required.

• 4 year college degree with preference with a JD degree.

• CTFA-Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor is preferred.

• Through knowledge of Trust requirements including account transfer policies, practices, and procedures.

• Thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of special situs trusts, the differences between Delaware and other special situs, as well as the requirements and process for decanting trusts to Delaware.

• Strong knowledge of estate and tax planning techniques and their appropriate application.

• Extensive understanding of trust accounting systems.

• Knowledge of securities, real estate, LLCs, limited partnerships and other entities.

• Must be thoroughly familiar with and adhere to all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.)

• Must have experience supervising trust personnel, including coaching development, counselling, team building and motivational/inspirational leadership experience

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with vendor platforms including O9, Blue Yonder, JDA, Oracle Retail, and Oracle ERP a plus
• Experience in building highly productive engineering teams responsible for delivery, uptime, stability and operations of all applications and systems in a high-growth, omni-channel retailer
• Expertise in formulating and implementing operating processes, procedures and routines, such as incident management, automated monitoring and alerting, capacity planning, build versus buy decision making
• Expertise in open-source software development languages & frameworks such as Python, Java, Spring, NO-SQL DB’s, Spark, Kafka, Databricks, and Cloud computing
• Experience in Governance, Risk and Compliance management, specifically around implementing automated controls, security monitoring, enabling audit trails, securing data and complying to company’s SOX and audit policies
• Expertise in building and deploying secure applications in a multi-cloud footprint (AWS, Azure, GCP or Oracle cloud)
• Expertise driving efficiencies across the application footprint through automation leveraging CI/CD and DevSecOps (shift-left) methodologies
• Highest level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and exude the appropriate level of judgment and maturity
