The Role
As a Finance Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Supporting the Business Facing Finance Director and Business Facing team. This is a key role within the business with a focus on increased controls around budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
Day-to-day, you'll be liaising with the Land Sector Shared Service team (SSC), SAP SSC, Operations and Senior Management teams. This role is the link between Finance and the contract. Cost drivers from operations need to be properly understood and communicated in the business.
Reporting to the Head of Finance you will be responsible for the financial management and reporting of the contract's finances. This will include:
- Reporting of the contract monthly accounts, budgets, forecasts and strategic plans
- Key member of contract / site' senior management team involving
- Supporting identified continuous improvement projects on behalf of the Finance function.
- Identifying opportunities to improve the service.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and requires regular travel across a range of internal and customer sites on a weekly / monthly basis alongside home working arrangements.

Essential Experience of the Finance Manager:
- Ability to understand and manipulate data to present clear and concise financial messages for review.
- Experience of Finance IT applications (e.g. SAP).
- Demonstrable business partnering skills.
- Proven experience in the use of Microsoft Office 2010 suite of applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and Outlook.
- Ability to ensure deadlines and targets are achieved or surpassed.
Qualifications for the Finance Manager:
- Ideally, you will hold a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS) or equivalent / similar.
