Assist with and manage portfolio transactions. Equipment evaluations, repossessions, remarketing, and end of lease negotiations with customers. Ability to coordinate and collaborate with business line leaders across direct and third-party channels. Ensures the required internal control standards, including adherence to audit, regulatory and compliance policies.
- Prepare written communications of both qualitative and quantitative research results in a clear and concise manner.
- Develop and manipulate models for cost and market approach analyses.
- Assist in the training and skills development of analysts and associates
- Serve as the lead on engagements and interact directly with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide completed valuations for manager review.
- Demonstrated ability to support programmatic and one-off valuation requests, inventory management, and liquidation across a diverse set of equipment types and industries.
- Ability to manage relationships with third-party agents for repossession, storage, remarketing, and resale, including expanding network for specialization, geography, and champion challenger opportunities.
- Exert strong decision-making and collaboration with Legal & Collections to determine optimal approach in managing portfolio performance by leveraging collateral position to maximize repayment
- A high degree of critical thinking to recognize equipment, transaction and portfolio related risks and opportunities and the ability to balance and manage these risks.
- Experience setting residual values in various asset classes such as Manufacturing, Construction, Transportation, and many other industries.
- Leverage tools & resources needed to conduct research & valuation based on a market analysis to successfully manage residual expectations for one-off and programmatic requests and activity

- Liaise with credit and sales to support, advise, expedite and effectively manage the frontend residual / collateral valuation process.
- Track and manage all maturing leases and negotiate lessee and third-party sales including purchase options, renewals, and returns.
- Contribute to fee income opportunities through renewal activity.
- Attend industry conferences and network with peers across the industry
- Participates and provides leadership in Bank and community activities to increase Bank’s brand visibility and to enhance new business opportunities.
- Assists with sales and service administration and processing ensuring client experience is seamless and opportunities are identified and met.
- Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
- Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed
Qualifications: - Typically, between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.

Compensation and Benefits:
$87,000.00 - $161,400.00

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
