The University of Brighton Academies Trust is seeking a qualified, skilled and professional Safety and Compliance Manager to promote, develop and establish a positive safety culture within its professional services teams and academies to meet its legal requirements in terms of Health, Safety and Compliance. The postholder will take responsibility for operational matters relating to Health and Safety Planning and Management and contribute to the Estates & Facilities Management Strategic plan.

The post holder will report to the Director of Estates & Facilities Management and will be the primary point of contact for all Health, Safety and Compliance matters. The postholder will be responsible for effective day to day operational support, management, monitoring and development of Health and Safety for 15 Trust academies and Central Service Teams and their locations.

The role includes the use of CAFM software to connect service users and to improve efficiencies. The postholder will have a proven background in Health and Safety Compliance with excellent management skills to develop, drive and guide our central and academy teams.

The successful applicant will be experienced at developing a positive Health and Safety Culture within a multi-site organisation, achieving high standards of health and safety management and have the maturity to build strong relationships with academy staff and their respective teams to implement, monitor and review ways of working to successfully meet these standards. They will have responsibility for all operational elements of health and safety management across the Trust.

Can you provide a professional and effective facilities management service for our academy?

The Estates & Facilities Management team are looking to appoint an experienced Building Services Manager who can confidently communicate with our stakeholders and lead on the delivery of building services to our academy partners.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic self-starter who is used to working in a busy team but with minimal supervision, in the delivery of our estate’s management services.

As a new role the postholder will need to be able to see the ‘bigger picture’ and be solution focused as they will be influential in the evolution of building services across the trust and the ongoing development of associated services.

This includes the use of CAFM software, the procurement and management of planned maintenance contracts, the development and implementation of key processes and systems.

It is essential you have experience of being directly responsible for procuring and managing multiple service contracts.

The role will be offered on a hybrid arrangement with part office/part home working with additional travel to our academies (approx. 1 day per week).

Salary Range

$52,440 – 86,145

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. The Senior Risk/Finance Manager will develop, execute and manage the financial planning and systems strategy for the Risk Management Team.  The Risk team is composed of finance, operations, legal, and risk professionals whose primary mission is to protect the $6 billion enterprise from catastrophic financial loss while providing cost effective risk management and insurance solutions that mitigate operational risk and contribute to competitive advantage and profitability.

Responsibilities

Cashflow and accounting process management:

• Develop models to forecast program revenues and expenses

• Oversee department cashflows and ensure timely processing of all risk payables and receivables

• Support insurance related monthly accounting transactions

• Perform analysis and compile annual, monthly, and ad hoc financial and/or risk reports

• Analyze program performance to assure cost effectiveness across all business units

• Prepare internal reports and communicate results to senior management

Risk reporting system administration:

• Maintain Risk Management Information System (RMIS), inclusive of all essential project related documents, insurance schedules and claim activity

• Develop and maintain SAP/SAC financial planning and forecasting tool

• Improve and enhance internal reporting systems

• Interface effectively with project teams, business partners (Insurers, Brokers, TPAs, Actuaries, Captive

• Assist with internal and external insurance program audits

• Take an active role in recruiting top industry talent to join the Clark team. Identify, hire, and retain outstanding people

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Finance or related field preferred but not required

• 10+ years of related experience preferred

• Strong financial and accounting technical skills required. SAP, OBIE, Tableau, and other analytical tools a plus

• Broad knowledge and experience in risk management, risk financing, risk assessment and risk strategy

A key role within US Consumer Risk Management, the successful candidate will lead the Credit Risk 2nd Line of Defense for BMO's U.S. consumer credit card portfolios, providing credit risk oversight and effective challenge to the US consumer credit card line of business. BMO's U.S. cards portfolio has doubled in size following BMO's acquisition in 2023 of Bank of the West. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance web front-end applications.

• Collaborate with development teams to architect, build, and deploy .NET/React JS/Angular applications on AWS, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

• Provide technical expertise and guidance to development teams on best practices for deploying .NET/React JS/Angular applications on AWS, including infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization.

• Execute detailed performance analysis and optimization of a website to boost speed and efficiency. Pinpoint areas that need enhancement and devise solutions to improve scalability and reliability.

• Understanding the principles of responsive design and being able to implement it in code is important for creating websites that work well on all devices.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or similar field.

• 5 years of demonstrated experience working in development and/or support team.

• 2 years of demonstrated experience with Web Front-End technologies.

  • Strong understanding of .NET Framework, .NET Core, or ASP.NET is crucial for a .NET developer. This includes knowledge of C#.

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a must for any front-end developer.

  • Experience with ReactJS and Angular is essential. This includes understanding the principles of these frameworks, as well as practical experience in building applications with them.

  • Knowledge of how to consume RESTful APIs is important.

• Experience with database technologies (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, Aurora).
