Key responsibilities

The successful candidate will report directly to the Financial Controller and manage the transaction team (2 full time heads and elements of a shared function). The primary focus of the role is to manage the daily transactions and manage the monthly accounting.


Manage the Transactions team and relationship with Shared Services
Own the month end process and hold accountability for balance sheet integrity and reconciliations
Oversee the AR and AP processes and take responsibility for driving improvements in both accuracy and operational efficiency
Develop a strong understanding of the CALMS operating system and work with the enterprise application team to deliver updates and fixes
Support day to day delivery and roll out of the Part Exchange (PX), Other Approved Suppliers (OAS) program and unencumbered transactions for customers
Assist with the implementation and development of controls and systems which enable efficient, timely and accurate production of financial reporting

Job Overview
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to lead on delivering a new school centred operational finance model. The updated model will allow delivery of finance using a grouped school structure, ensuring financial resilience as the trust continues to grow.
The post will be instrumental in working with schools to develop and implement a model ensuring financial data accuracy, where internal control frameworks are adhered to, and statutory and regulatory financial reporting requirements are met. Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust provides NHS hospital services for around 900,000 people across Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and south Buckinghamshire.

• Managing reception desk as the ward receptionist: Welcoming patients and relatives to the ward and undertaking administration duties
• Answering telephone calls and relating information accurately to staff and the public.
• Admit, discharge and transfer patients on EPIC.
• Responsible for data entry.
• Act as the EPIC superuser for AMU and AECU
• Maintain all the patient boards with the appropriate consultants’ names.
• Management of Health Roster
• Manage ward clerk’s appraisals and sickness.
• As Ward clerk Team leader, you should be able to work weekends and management days on weekdays.
• Booking hospital transport for patient’s to be discharged home/tertiary hospital.
