We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced midwife to lead one of our community Midwifery teams.

The midwife will be an inspirational leader with a vision to support women and families through their pregnancy, birth and postnatal period.
The post holder will be part of a team of highly trained, dedicated midwives with excellent organisational and communication skills. The midwife must be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills, be a caring and compassionate individual focused on providing excellent quality care, maintaining high standards and working within the values held by Royal Bolton Trust.
The post holder will encourage, support and nurture the team providing a positive workplace culture.
• The post holder is expected to be an expert clinical midwife who will give advice and guidance on the midwifery care of pregnant people, babies and their families.
• To lead and coordinate the day to day running of the Community antenatal and postnatal clinics, home visits and support the home birth service.
• To work collaboratively with the Matrons to provide and develop high quality, safe and effective service.
• To work collaboratively with patients and user representatives to develop the service in response to feedback received including local and national initiatives.
• Be a mentor to newly qualified midwives, students and maternity support worker.
• Directly responsible for staff management, sickness management, recruitment, health and safety, audits and standard setting.
• Handle complaints and datix management to conclude learning and share learning with team members.
• Order, monitor and review standard equipment with yearly clinical engineering check (EBME).
• Review learn and ensure compliance with E-learning and core skills.
• To create orientation programme for new starter.
• To plan, implement and lead team midwifery to take forward the agreed midwifery strategy.
