An opportunity has arisen within the Business Intelligence Team for a Senior Information Analyst supporting Whipps Cross Hospital.
To succeed in this exciting role you will need; a real eye for detail, an analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, a willingness and ability to liaise with our stakeholders along with an enthusiasm to get the job done to the highest standards. You will have experience in carrying out analysis and report writing, and also a proven track record of using SQL for data extraction and interrogation purposes.

An exciting part-time vacancy has become available to cover maternity leave which involves working within core paediatric optometry clinics at Whipps Cross. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Optometrist to join our teams to support our children’s services.

The post-holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary Optometry and Ophthalmology teams that provide comprehensive and quality ophthalmology services for the Trust.

You will be based in the Eye Treatment Centre at Whipps Cross University Hospital. The Eye Treatment Centre is a dedicated unit covering all ophthalmology specialties including vitreo-retinal, medical retina, glaucoma, cornea, oculo-plastics, paediatrics, neuro-ophthalmology and we also have a busy eye emergency service.

You will participate in the educational activities run by and for the Optical Services and Ophthalmology Departments. This includes the teaching of other health care professionals, medical undergraduates and junior doctors.

We are seeking a Senior Team Leader to join our expanding Appointment Centre at Whipps Cross. You will be a point of contact for our patients and represent the Trust with your caring, helpful approach.

Barts Pharmacy Department are looking for a dynamic and energetic individual who is ambitious and forward-thinking with clinical experience in emergency medicine to join our Pharmacy team at Whipps Cross University Hospital.

The post holder will carry out the full range of duties as the Senior Pharmacist for Emergency Medicine to deliver patient focused, quality care, based at Whipps Cross University Hospital. This post will cover the Emergency Department, Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) Unit and acute medicine to ensure optimisation of medicines and the safe, cost-effective use of medicines. You will be a core member of the Trust’s emergency care team, providing professional pharmaceutical governance, medicines safety, medicines information, medicines finance, education and training and medicines optimisation support to the team and the service’s patients. The post holder will also work closely with the Highly Specialist Pharmacists for Emergency Care and Admissions.

You will be supported to further develop both your clinical skills and your abilities as a senior leader via a combination of internal and external training programmes. The imaging department at Whipps Cross Hospital are looking to appoint a band 6 senior radiographer to join the team as soon as possible. The post holder will work closely with Radiographers, students and clinical staff of all grades to provide safe, prompt and effective imaging of patients.

Patients may be unconscious, un-cooperative, incapacitated, incompetent or with physical or mental disabilities. Some may exhibit anti-social or threatening behaviour. It is necessary to provide empathy and emotional support to the bereaved, terminally ill injured and traumatised.

The service operates 24 hours a day 365 days per year.

We are recruiting an experienced B6 or B7 physiotherapist who can lead the critical care physiotherapy service at Whipps Cross hospital. This is a new post and will lead the integrated team of PTs & support workers on our critical care units. The Surgical Division includes critical care, surgery, orthopaedics & amputees under one clinical lead. The successful candidate will work with the other B7 therapists in the surgical division to further develop therapy provision & standards.

Applicants will need to hold current HCPC registration, have broad clinical skills including recent critical care and acute surgery experience in the NHS or similar health service at senior level. There is a strong commitment to staff training, service improvement and support for leadership.

There is a rostered service to ensure 7-day provision between 8am - 6pm. The postholder would be rostered for weekend working but no more frequent than 1 in 4 weekends with time off in lieu during the week.

To lead the physiotherapy service in critical care and support the surgical and amputee rehabilitation physiotherapy service ensuring provision of a high standard physiotherapy service to patients, as well as contributing to weekend and on call service provision. The critical care and surgery (CCS) therapy team covers the 17 critical care beds and 3 surgical wards as well as amputee outpatient service. The two B7 Physiotherapists and one B7 Occupational Therapist in CCS work in harmony together to deliver leadership and support to the wider team. This role covers:
• Provide a high standard of physiotherapy service as an autonomous practitioner and take a leading role in the advanced physiotherapy assessment and treatment of critical care patients who may have acute, complex and/or chronic presentations. To determine clinical diagnosis and physiotherapy treatment indicated. To be responsible for a defined caseload, working autonomously with access to advice and support from colleagues if required
• To develop the physiotherapy role in the critical care and high dependency environment and undertake a leading role in weaning, early rehabilitation, co-ordination, delivery and evaluation of the Physiotherapy Service provided to patient
• To deliver and co-ordinate the tracheostomy ward round alongside the other key MDT staff and provide advice to weaning, decannulation and safe discharge planning for all patients with a tracheostomy within the hospital
