The Department of Twins Research team is seeking a highly motivated person to join their group as a Assistant Clinical Research Practitioner with experience and knowledge of working in an NHS/University research environment, along with experience of working with participants involved in multiple, large, complex studies.

TwinsUK is the UK’s largest adult twin registry and the most clinically detailed in the world.Professor Tim Spector from King’s College London set up the cohort in 1992 to investigate the incidence of osteoporosis and other rheumatologic diseases in several hundred monozygotic (identical) twins. The role offers an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to enhance the care of patients within the Tier 3 Obesity Service through delivery of group and individual psychoeducational sessions. The post holder will also provide administrative and clinical support to the Tier 3 Obesity Psychology and Psychotherapy Team, and have the opportunity to contribute to research and service development, service audits and project work.

The post will involve working remotely from home for some of the time and from the hospital, delivering the online interventions, as well as delivering face-to-face groups at community sites across South East London. While exact working hours will be established upon starting with the service, the post will include some evening and/or weekend working.

We are the largest Dietetics Department in the UK, employing over 150 dietitians, dietetic assistants, psychologists, nutrition nurses, administrators, pathway coordinators, project managers and operational leads.

- Providing high quality teaching and learning opportunities using a variety of teaching approaches and activities support pupils to make progress towards their agreed accreditations.
- Supporting teachers with the planning, preparation, and assessment of learning opportunities.
- Assisting with the planning and implementation of off-site activities.
- Assisting pupils who require help during morning routines, lunch/break times or with personal care.
