This post is for a Trainee Internal Auditor. The post holder will be supported through an agreed training programme. The post holder will work towards meeting the requirements of this Band 6 Audit Principal job description and person specification. The post holder will be supported in their professional studies with financial and study support for an approved qualification. Upon appointment, a specific three-year training programme will be agreed.

The post holder will be contracted on Annex 21 of Agenda for Change and will be required to:



• Undertake and manage an individual, long-term programme of professional training and pass exams in accordance with the professional training schedule set out by 360 Assurance.

• Develop competencies in line with the requirements of all aspects of this job description.

• Represent 360 Assurance and NHS in a professional manner.

• Adhere to policies, procedures, guidance and relevant professional standards at all times.

• Engage with and work with 360 Assurance colleagues to deliver and present quality internal audit and consultancy work to clients.

**As a Trainee PWP, your working week will be made up of a mix of University teaching days and in service clinical days. University days take place in person and via online teaching (please note this is subject to change and is at the discretion of the University of Reading). In service, in line with the national guidance, we will expect you to be working in the office to enhance your learning and training opportunities. You’ll be primarily based at one of our 6 offices (as per the above locations) but please note where required, you will be expected to efficiently travel to other offices/locations across Berkshire.**



As part of this role, you will be attending a course at the Charlie Waller Institute, University of Reading which is due to start on 9th September. To be able to attend the course and ensure a smooth onboarding process, you will be required to complete your pre-employment checks by 30th August, allowing you to start with the Trust on 4th September. Additionally, the University of Reading requires confirmation of appropriate visas by 4th August 2024.



• You will be based as an employee within Berkshire Talking Therapies whilst attending Reading University, with a mixture of teaching days and service days.
• You will be required to undertake and pass the Talking Therapies PWP training, provided through the University of Reading and achieve the Postgraduate/Graduate Certificate in Evidence based Psychological Treatments as part of this role.
• Providing high volume, low intensity interventions using cognitive behavioural therapy for mild to moderate anxiety and depression
• Opportunities to support those with long term physical health conditions and those with employment issues, alongside our fantastic employment support team.
• On successful completion of the programme, you will be equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes, and behaviours relevant to employment as a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner within Talking Therapies.

We are excited to offer a number of training roles within NHS Talking Therapies (previously known as Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT). As a trainee you will work within the NHS Berkshire Talking Therapies service providing high intensity interventions whilst undertaking a programme of training for this role.  This intensive training post will equip you to provide a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) service to clients with a range of complex problems for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective. For the majority of your training year you will work in the service for three days of the week using your newly developed skills whilst attending the training programme for the other two days. There are some weeks where there will be four days in university and one day in service.

The course start date will be 5thMarch 2024 with a service start date w/c 26thFebruary 2024. This cohort will be attending University of Reading in person.

About you/you will have:
• Core profession as defined by the BABCP. Please see babcp.com for a list of core professions OR

Main duties of the job

• Apply learning from the training programme in practice.
