There is an expectation that the successful candidate will take on some leadership activities such as contributing to the learning and development of junior team members taking a lead on/or contributing to projects identified by the leadership team.

Your new role
As Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will play a crucial role in the finance team. Your responsibilities will include managing the end to end Purchase Ledger, conducting regular supplier payment runs, and handling bank postings and reconciliations. You will also be involved in supporting at month-end, performing month-end statement reconciliations. The primary system used is Sage Line 50, which will be a significant part of your daily tasks. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 2 years of experience in a similar position and be proficient in Sage Line 50 and Microsoft Office packages. Strong numerical and analytical skills, excellent time management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. As part of the leadership team, the post holder will be responsible for providing expert support, advice and clinical leadership to a 4 - 18 years Autism Service to offer an enhanced model of support to the wider mainstream education, health and social care services within Lancashire and South Cumbria. As Team Leader the post holder will support the operational aspects of service delivery and report directly to the Service Manager. These include helping to manage budgets, recruitment, staff management (rosters, sickness, leave etc), developing Standard Operating Procedures, managing risk and other operational tasks.

The role includes a clinical & professional component also, the Team Leader will clinically support the staff in the team providing supervision and guidance as appropriate and carrying a reduced caseload to reflect the joint Operational and Clinical nature of the role.
