• Supervises a team of Paralegal Specialists involved in processing commercial and support garnishments, bankruptcies, involuntary allotments, divisions of retired pay, survivor benefit plan deemed elections, and associated court actions.
• Assigns and reviews work, monitors work in progress, and reports production and management information as required.
• Provides technical assistance to the team paralegals in the interpretation of laws, regulations, and complex cases.

Working Capital Management:

Data Management:

• Serve as a gatekeeper for financial processes, ensuring adherence to established protocols while remaining adaptable to changes

Tax Knowledge:

• Possess a solid understanding of tax regulations WHT 21, 23, 4(2), 25, VAT and implications related to accounting practices

Qualifications:

• Typically between 2 - 3 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Canada only: Registration to sell investment products completed - as appropriate for the jurisdiction.

• Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.

• Working knowledge of personal and small business customer needs and solutions.

• Working knowledge of retail investments and lending products.

• Experience in financial services is an asset.

• Confident and experienced in the use of social media, tablets, Smart phones, online tools, and applications.

• Experience in a consultative customer service or sales role, with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience.

• Passionate commitment to helping our customers.

• A focus on results and the ability to thrive in a consultative sales and team-based environment.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
