Cleaning and Disinfection:
Ensuring patient bays and common areas are cleaned and disinfected regularly.
Adhering to infection control protocols, including proper cleaning of high-touch surfaces and equipment.
Stocking and Replenishment:
Ensuring that essential supplies, such as PPE, hand sanitizers, towels, and cleaning products, are stocked and available.
Environmental Safety:
Reporting any maintenance issues, such as broken equipment, leaks, or other hazards, to the appropriate department.
Supporting Clinical Staff:

This is a fixed term locum post for 12 months pending advertising and appointing to a new substantive post.

This is an excellent opportunity within the Diabetes and Endocrinology department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, we are looking to appoint a new Locum Consultant fixed term for 6 months to support our Elective Recovery Funded (ERF) activity.
The post holder will carry outward duties in GIM and be part of the diabetes outreach team (DOT), as well as holding clinics in diabetes, endocrinology in the hospital but also possibly community settings. The post comprises 10 programmed activities (PAs).

The Consultant will work alongside the current consultant team of 12 in Diabetes and Endocrinology and provide diabetes and endocrine services at Lister Hospital.

We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse/ODP in Theatres who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

Theatres is an expanding service providing excellent care now to include admission and recovery of elective patients and a continued emergency service for the Trust. This role may be of interest for nurses who have experience in either Operating Theatres, Day Surgery, and or general surgical experience.

The team currently covers 24/7 365 days a year you will be expected to work evenings, nights, on calls, bank holidays and weekends as part of a rotation with other team members.

The Lister Pharmacy Aseptic team is a growing and progressive team that makes personalised medicines, mainly injectable chemotherapy doses, in clean room environments for our Trust's patients.

You will be expected to follow strict standard operating procedures in the preparation of drug products.

Aseptic preparation of medicines and assembling and transferring drugs and consumables into the clean rooms.

Creating documentation using pharmacy software systems.

Conducting cleaning of aseptic rooms and associated equipment.

Supporting stock maintenance of drugs and consumables.

Applicants are required to be able to work methodically and have rigorous attention to detail. You must be willing to meet the strict personal requirements for clean room working and be dexterous to undertake aseptic preparation, including the manipulation and use of needles and syringes.

In house training and accreditation will be provided to achieve the required level of competency; on-going validation of aseptic technique is a requirement of the post.
