The team provides a Primary Care Psychological Therapies Service for clients experiencing a range of common mental health difficulties.

We are looking for a practitioner who is skilled in providing effective, evidence-based interventions to individuals experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the expansion of the children’s crisis and home treatment team where we have a number of practitioner roles available. We believe in having a good work-life balance which is why we offer flexible working agreements.

The Crisis and home treatment model is part of the Tier 3.5 service provision which focuses on a high risk management pathway, to prevent avoidable admissions and support discharges from inpatient units. The team has been going through a transformation from the role of the Acute Liaison team to be embedded into the Crisis and Home treatment model for CYP and providing a seamless crisis response no matter where the access point is.

Your working day within the team will be dependent on the CYP's needs. You will be providing risk reviews, follow-up's for CYP who have recently had a crisis assessment, short-term intervention and referrals onto other services. You will provide mental health care to CYP and their families in line with local and national guidelines. The care you will provide will be in a range of settings such as the RISE clinics, Acute hospital wards, young people’s homes or educational setting.

This post is an integral function of providing telephone support and advice to CYP up to 18 years’ old and their families/Carers calling 111 option two/Crisis line seeking urgent help for their mental health. You will provide information, support, signposting and advice about managing mental health. You will escalate any callers or concerns to senior clinicians.

They will provide compassionate and professional support to callers (including) carers and will support and assist CYP, families, and Carers to cope more effectively with their mental health.

You will assist callers in managing their distress and difficulties and identify immediate and non-immediate responses to 111/crisis line triage assessments.

Our team operates between the hours of 8am – 8pm Monday-Sunday where you will work staggered shift patterns which can be discussed within your interview. We have two team leads, clinical band 5, 6, 7's and support workers.

We have an opportunity for a band 6 Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker to join our well established Early Intervention team as a Care Coordinator. We work with individuals who are experiencing the first onset of Psychosis.

Early Intervention in Psychosis is an innovative and evidence-based model. The teams work with service-users aged 14 to 65 who are experiencing first episode or early psychosis, and their families, for up to 3 years, as well as people presenting with an at-risk mental state. There is a strong commitment to provide an excellent standard of care and to continually improve what we do.

The NHS England Access and Waiting Time Standard has led to significant development within the team. We are undertaking specific skills training with the clinicians to support both the clients’ recovery and the achievement of these targets.

The role involves a detailed initial assessment incorporating the CAARMs assessment to identify at risk mental states (ARMS) or first episode psychosis (FEP). This is incorporated into a formulation to plan the client's care over the next 3 years. The team uses a Recovery philosophy to collaboratively identify the individual’s goals and needs and to support them towards achieving these. Many of our clients experience difficulties with housing, finances, vocational activities and social inclusion and the successful applicant will be expected to work creatively, both with other team members and independently to support the client achieve their goals. We aim to support people to independence so they no longer need input from Mental Health Services.

Principal Clinical / Counselling Psychologist (Research) - Band 8a 1.0 wte – Sleeping Better and Feeling Safer trials, Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust, Community Mental Health Services.

These large clinical trials willtake place in NHS Mental Health Services at sites across England and Scotland. Each site, which will closely work together, will comprise established site leads, a clinical/counselling psychologist, an assistant psychologist, graduate mental health worker, peer worker and research assistants.The post is substantive and after these trial roles have finished you will take up further research and/or clinical roles within our community mental health services.

The post-holder will have a central role in the Sleeping Better and Feeling Safer trials, being responsible for the day-to-day delivery within the local NHS trust. This will include delivering psychological therapy, supervising research assistants in the recruitment and assessment of trial participants, and supervising other clinicians in the delivery of the interventions. You will be accountable to the site Principal Investigator Dr Gary Willington, and you will receive supervision from Prof Daniel Freeman and Dr Felicity Waite from the lead site: Oxford. The position would suit a clinician with strong interests in cognitive therapy, treatment innovation, and clinical trials.

The post holder will be expected to support and promote a set of values that maximise the potential of individuals by promoting their recovery with the aim of reducing social exclusion, stigma and the potentially disabling effects of severe mental illness.

Experience of applying cognitive behavioural approaches to psychosis would be advantageous.

You are required to hold a current professional registration with the HCPC as a practitioner psychologist by the time you take up the post.

The ability to travel during the working day over a large geographical area is essential, as is the ability to work flexibly with the needs of the client group and trial. You will be based in North Warwickshire (Rugby or Nuneaton), and are likely to travel throughout CWPT and the neighbouring participating NHS Trusts. On occasion, you would also be expected to travel to other trial sites including Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Newcastle, and Oxford.

If you do not yet meet the criteria for the band 8a role, we will also support applications from candidates that meet the criteria for the band 7 role and job description (please see “additional documents” on NHS Jobs).

In these instances, the successful candidate would be appointed to a “Development Post” role at band 7 and provided opportunities and support to progress to the band 8a role upon successful completion of a preceptorship programme. In the event that elements of the expected competencies to progress to 8a are not are fully met, the role will remain as a band 7.

The Clinical Review Practitioner will work as a member of the Clinical Review Team to support the current commissioner targets around placement reviews and the rehabilitation and repatriation agenda.
They will undertake a programme of comprehensive assessments and reviews in or out of the CWPT geographical area, complete the Reviewing Assessment Framework and present them for a clinical scrutiny process leading to commissioning sign off of robust plans for complex service users.
There will be a liaison and information role with clinical colleagues in both acute, rehabilitation and community settings, as well as a role to work with placement providers both in and out of the local area to ensure safety, quality and best value.
The role will be underpinned by a clear understanding of and commitment to least restrictive principles and recovery.

To undertake a programme of assessments in collaboration with other members of multi-professional teams where required. This will involve completion of the Reviewing Assessment Framework (RAF) document and potentially other clinical tools for example from the risk management or safeguarding toolkits.

To present the assessment to the clinical scrutiny panel and expand your plan, whether for repatriation or continued placement and justify the proposed care pathway. You will need to provide evidence of recovery focussed planning and an accurate understanding of current needs and level of risk and how these will be managed.

To provide support to the service user and carer(s) through the assessment process, involving them in choices and decision making as appropriate, and keeping them informed at all stages. Referral to and liaison with appropriate Advocacy and legal representation services may be necessary.

To collaborate and liaise with current and potential placement providers and representatives of mental health and social care services in Coventry and Warwickshire and outside of the Trust’s geographical area where necessary. Placement reviews will be required, providing evidence that safety and quality issues are addressed and that interventions are recovery focussed.

CAMHS Practitioner - Band 6

Think family outreach team is part of an exciting piolet project to develop an enhanced day provision for children, young people and their families within the crisis pathway

The post holder will work as part of the Think Family Outreach Team (TFOT) with the aim to support children, young people and their families who are in emotional distress and either at risk of requiring crisis intervention from Crisis and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) or Acute Hospital Settings. The clinical offer is tailored to suit each individual young person/family's needs and focus on empowerment and skills

The post holder will provide clinical assistance and support within a team in the delivery of a range of Psychoeducation interventions to support the crisis management and recovery.



As a registered clinician You will also be providing telephone support and advise to Children and Young people up to 18 years’ old and their families/Carers calling 111 option two/Crisis line seeking urgent help for their mental health. The post holder will provide initial triage as well as information, support, signposting and advice about managing mental health.



The team has a range of experience and qualifications and consists of band 3 and 4 support workers, qualified professionals, and a team lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Speech and Language Therapist to work as part of a Community Learning Disabilities team delivering Speech and Language Therapy input to the Integrated Community Services, Community Learning Disabilities Service. Previous experience of working with Adults with Learning Disabilities is essential.

To participate in the organisation, delivery and development of Speech and Language interventions around communication and Dysphagia

To carry a clinical caseload in communication and dysphagia providing specialised Speech and Language Therapy to adults with a learning disability with a range of highly complex needs in a variety of settings.

To provide specialist clinical support and supervision to other Speech and Language Therapists, assistants, students and members of the multi-disciplinary team.

The role involves close collaborative working with multi-disciplinary colleagues in the community setting, completing assessments, planning interventions for adults who have a learning disability, identifying and meeting training needs and providing specialist advice.



Essential Requirements include:

RCSLT membership and HCPC registration

Excellent communication skills

Experience of working with people with a learning disability in the community

Driver with access to independent means of transport

Be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work, including caseload management and direct clinical care. To work within the professional body’s code of conduct and scope of practise.

Obtain and record informed consent from patients/clients’ at each contact in accordance with Trust policy.

Carry out triage, comprehensive specialist assessments for patients/clients. Interpret clinical and non-clinical information, use clinical reasoning skills to accurately diagnose and develop specific treatment plans. This may occur within ward environments or a range of community settings.

Provide advice, or signposting as appropriate, to other professionals or single assessments to meet patient/clients’ holistic care needs

(e.g. standardised assessments, AAC, group and individual work)

Negotiate with clients and carers to identify and formulate client-centred goals and demonstrate ongoing evaluation of patient/client progress using agreed outcome measures.

To contribute to multi-agency working e.g. meeting to share information and plan patient/client care

Prioritise urgent or unexpected or planned referrals, adjusting caseloads and allocations to meet revised needs.

The North Warwickshire Community Mental Health Team is a newly formed team comprising of both The Recovery Team and The Community Mental Health & Wellbeing Team.

Our Team covers the locality of North Warwickshire & Rugby. We have two bases, one in Nuneaton and the other in Rugby and although you would be based in a particular location for expenses purposes, you are part of one large team, and you will get the opportunity to work across both localities with different colleagues.

This would be an ideal opportunity for a clinician who would be interested in developing their skills of managing a caseload and providing clinical interventions skills in an established and forward-thinking team in North Warwickshire.

Working within an established team, you’ll be managing a caseload of clients who have complex mental health problems both with a psychotic illness and non-psychosis presentations and delivering a range of interventions and treatment across the whole patient group. As a successful candidate you will be given time and opportunity to build your skills and confidence to eventually allow you to undertake the role of management of a caseload. Those patients with a psychotic presentation may be managed through shared care within the team. This allows the sharing of responsibility, skills and knowledge which offers the opportunity for staff to develop their role whilst being supported by colleagues.

You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, using evidence-based approaches and time limited interventions. You’ll be communicating with a wide variety of clients; professionals; partners and agencies.
