What You Will Achieve
The Puerto Rico Finance Manager will serve as the finance lead supporting assigned Puerto Rico commercial as well as field force teams within the Primary Care (PC), Specialty Care (SC) and Oncology business units. The Puerto Rico Finance Manager will also serve as the local finance lead on all statutory reporting, lead all external audits and serve as local manufacturing markup (GMX) expert. This is a role that requires financial expertise for direct business partner and strategic financial decision support for key Primary Care, Specialty Care and Oncology brands as assigned. The successful colleague in this role will also be a key member of assigned brand leadership team(s) requiring significant direct interaction with other LT members including finance and marketing colleagues. The Finance Manager will provide financial leadership, business consultation, and analytical support to each of the assigned commercial brand teams. As a strong partner, the Puerto Rico Finance Manager will serve as the first point of contact on all finance related questions, analyses, and deliverables for his/her commercial teams (i.e. monthly accruals, reporting and expense management, budgeting and forecasting). You will also provide financial leadership on business initiatives that unlock business value to maximize results while ensuring compliance with laws and company policies. Finally, you will key in providing financial analysis designed to monitor business performance.
As a Puerto Rico Finance Manager, you are a subject matter expert who will provide analysis and insight into brand P&L performance (i.e., revenue, cost of sales and opex) and will leverage your financial acumen skills, knowledge of industry and general business insights to adapt and implement strategic actions. Your breadth of knowledge on internal or external business challenges will help us improve our performance as well as processes. You will provide technical guidance and oversight to matrixed team members and help in problem solving.
This role reports directly to the VP Finance, US Oncology with dotted line responsibility to US Finance Directors within Primary and Specialty Care business units.

How You Will Achieve It
Revenue Forecasting – The Puerto Rico Finance Manager is responsible for developing Sub BU revenue forecasts including creating multiple revenue forecasts for each product. This requires collaboration with the US Finance Lead and leading local brand teams on key assumptions and drivers to substantiate submissions. Prior to submission, the Puerto Rico Finance Manager will review each forecast with the assigned business unit commercial and finance lead. Finally, the Puerto Rico Finance Manger will work with the marketing brand teams in the development of the annual Operating Plan and Long Range Forecasts.
Expense Management – The Puerto Rico Finance Manager must collaborate with brand teams on expense management of budgets and on the development of expense forecasts. The Puerto Rico Finance Manager will manage Puerto Rico market field force financial activities and cost center reporting including budgeting, forecasting, expense reporting and analysis.
Month/Quarter Close – The Puerto Rico Finance Manager is responsible for key accounting activities required at period close. This includes recording expense accruals, recording contractual rebates, completing balance sheet reconciliations, GMX cost of sales analysis and performing accounts receivable reviews.
Reporting – The Puerto Rico Finance Manager is responsible for tracking brand performance (i.e. weekly, monthly, and quarterly) as well as identifying and communicating key performance drivers to the North America Finance Lead, Commercial Leaders including Brand and Finance management.
Provide analysis and insight into the Sub BU and brand P&Ls including revenues, cost of sales, and A&P spend which requires that there is an understanding of the products and their competitive
Lead all Local and Global Mosaic entries and adhoc FP&A inputs as directed by the US finance lead. Finally, there may be additional requirements by sub BU and the Puerto Rico Finance Manager will be responsible for additional adhoc reporting deliverables.
Lead Continuous Improvement, owning the design and optimization of current and future processes, ensuring efficiency, standardization and implementation of processes, working closely with key partners.
Qualifications
Must-Have
BA or BS degree required; MBA, master’s degree in finance/accounting, or CPA preferred
5 years of business finance experience required; 3+ years of biopharmaceutical industry experience preferred
Product P&L financial management experience required
Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Must possess expertise in financial modeling & analysis, budgeting, and forecasting with strong excel skills
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (oral, written, presentations); ability to summarize critical information into clear, concise, and insightful updates for senior leadership; strong negotiation and influencing skills
Demonstrated IT skills, including MS Office; strong understanding of financial data flows; ability to navigate respective accounting and reporting systems, and learn new systems
Track record of working well in a highly matrixed environment

Demonstrated experience finance Information technology system architecture
Proven experience in managing people

Work Location Assignment: Hybrid / expected to be at the office 2 - 3 times a week.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $88,300.00 to $147,100.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. * The annual base salary for this position in Tampa, FL ranges from $79,500.00 to $132,500.00.
