Job Description
Your Role
The candidate for this position will be part of the Operations group supporting the Invesco Private Credit business. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day support of the Bank Loan platform that conducts business across various special purpose vehicles. The individual will serve as a location leader for the New York office. In addition to being a location leader, the position will serve as a function lead primarily overseeing trade settlement amongst other operational functions.
Set the example for best practice operating procedures, participants in business initiatives and respective implementation. Proactively build and develop relationships with internal collaborators, business partners and third-party providers. Recommends third party provider oversight model improvements, represents the bank loan operations team on committees, service meetings and working groups as required. Maintain and develop industry and regulatory knowledge, participate in respective coordination and testing initiatives. Demonstrates continuous improvement (CI) and risk mitigation culture.
You will be responsible for:
Serve as the location leader for the New York operations team
Provide leadership and direct interaction with team members
Assist in running weekly operations meeting
Provide back-up capability to Operations Manager in times of absence
Serve as a function lead in the trade booking, settlements, and trade issues resolution
Oversee all trade settlements processes including par, distressed, Direct Lending, US/EURO, equity
Liaison with Trading desk for issue resolution
Liaison with trustees and agent banks in relation issues and resolve problematic cash discrepancies from notices or terms of trades with Custodians, Trustees, Agent Banks, and/or Seller Banks
Responsible for assessing issues, identification of resolutions/alternatives and providing/implementing recommendations
Perform complex restructures including multi-currency re-builds, defaults, and extensions
Support of cash reconciliation process to ensure accuracy and completeness of available data
Provides loan status to portfolio managers, analysts and operations related to cash activities
Coordinate trade review meetings with external counterparties
Provide back up to other members of team
Document process requirements
Work with team to increase automation and identify efficiencies of core processes
Develop into a process leader, functional expert, and create new initiatives
The experience you bring:
6+ years of leverage loan experience (Agency or closing group) work experience
Possess a broad knowledge of bank loans, fund types, back office and OMS systems, broker and custodian operations to proactively support the continual development and operational enablement of bank loans.
Familiarity with Wall Street Office Suite, Everest, S&P and Moody’s rating sites
Experience leading complex projects and initiatives.
Excellent verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal and leadership skills necessary to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.
Must demonstrate the ability to handle elevated risk and time critical situations.
Must demonstrate ability to establish priorities and appropriate deadlines both individually and at a team level.
Strong analytical skills to interpret complex and detailed data, including policies, procedures, and regulations.
Ability to lead and collaborate in a team environment and conduct themselves in a professional manner.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, math or related field and relevant business experience or a combination of education, training and industry experience that provides the required knowledge and skills.
