The Audit Director is a senior level management position responsible for contributing to the strategic direction of Citi’s Internal Audit (IA) function. The overall objective of the Audit Director is to direct audit activities that support a subset of a product line, function, or legal entity at the global or regional level, in accordance with IA standards, Citi policies, and local regulations.

This Audit Director role sits within the IA Banking and Client team, primarily focusing on audit assurance activities relating to corporate and investment banking, client coverage, research and marketing. This individual is expected to work in close collaboration with all IA teams to ensure adequate, timely and seamless audit coverage.  

Responsibilities:

• Leads a team of auditors to provide timely and complete assurance over banking and client-related activities, and supporting other assurance work as needed.
• Deliver multiple audit engagements and ensure the delivery of audit reports are complete, insightful, timely, error free and concise.
• Contribute to the delivery of reports outlining IA’s contributions, and oversee audit’s coverage and reporting on common high-risk areas.

• Support and endorse the Quality Assurance (QA) function of IA, and resolve issues found by QA, improving audit processes and coverage.
• Ensure the adoption of Citigroup and Citibank Audit Committee Charters and the IA Charter, and engage in internal/external negotiations.
• Oversee various tasks to build the audit team, including recruiting staff, developing and training the team, and managing the budget.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in a related role.
• Related certifications (CPA, ACA, CFA, CIA, CISA or similar) preferred.
• Advanced level experience in a related role with extensive experience in business, functional and people management, with proven abilities in taking responsibility for executing concurrently on a portfolio of high-quality deliverables according to strict timetables.
• Specific subject matter expertise and strong business understanding of corporate and investment banking activities.
• Demonstrated experience in managing teams and managing integrated internal audit and assurance delivery within a matrix reporting environment.
• A self-aware, self-confident individual who has well developed listening skills, and a strong ability to engage in broader group settings.

Transaction Management will be responsible for supporting multiple aspects of the lending lifecycle including but not limited to loan closing and servicing coordination, facilitating complex client onboarding, data management, and quality control.  The team will be accountable and responsible for operational oversight of the closing and servicing of all loan transactions of the business division being supported to ensure all internal and external requirements are met.

Reporting to the Head of Operations for Finance, the Financial Governance Lead is responsible for overseeing Finance’s financial governance and reporting. Reporting to the Head of Operations for Finance, the Process Standardization Lead is responsible for Finance’s process standardization efforts. The individual will be responsible for developing and implementing a framework to standardize, simplify and optimize Finance processes as well as defining taxonomy requirements and establishing ownership across Finance’s processes. Reporting to the Head of Operations for Finance, the Resource Management Lead is responsible for leading the Finance Organizations’ workforce and technology strategies, as well as ensuring governance and compliance with all of Citi’s and the Finance organization’s policies, procedures and processes.

Responsibilities

The Audit Manager is an intermediate level role responsible for performing moderately complex audits and assessments of Citi’s risk and control environments in coordination with the Audit team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Role Summary:

The Head of the U.S. Personal Banking (USPB) Unsecured High Risk Segment Group is a new position that is part of Citigroup’s consumer bank risk executive team and reports directly to the In-Business USPB Credit and Franchise Risk Head. Key responsibilities cover managing the high-risk customer segment in the Cards and Unsecured portfolios, covering onset of risk through balance control, collections, loss mitigation and recovery.  

Responsibilities:

• Segment Definition: define and identify high-risk customer segments based on various risk factors such as on and off-us credit build and payment behaviors, default probability, and pattern change
• Strategy Formulation: Develop and implement comprehensive champion and challenger strategies covering balance control (credit line decreases, line closure), early/mid/late stage collections, loss mitigation, and recovery.  Assess customer engagement patterns to take into account contact and digital strategies.
• Journey Mapping: Create customer journey maps tailored to this segment, driving seamless and effective processes end-to-end

• Contribute to the build and development team to support loan origination and lifecycle management which includes large complex syndicated and bilateral loans covering but not limited to corporate, commercial, real estate, structured lending and trade.

• Assist with the creation of processes, standards, procedures, controls, training, and implementation of transaction management.

• Aid in the design and implementation of technology including testing and rollout.

• Provide training and support to transaction management staff and business constituents.

• Partner with each of the originating and coverage business lines, credit risk, operations, legal, etc.

• Ensure that quality of data, controls and processes performed meet internal policies and regulatory requirements/expectations.

• Work with lines of business, transaction management, and loan operations to define and implement operational metrics and risk and control reviews to ensure all stakeholders have end to end transparency.

• Constantly improve processes, controls and efficiencies within the group and front to back across loan lifecycle

• Participate in projects to enhance performance and efficiency.

• Take part in loan remediation and loan system testing / migrations.

• Actively manage and maintain a deal closing pipeline of loan transactions.

• Coordinate and close loan transactions/lifecycle events, capture data, store documentation, troubleshoot issues/roadblocks, perform quality control

• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of experience

• Individual must have excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Individual must work well under tight deadlines, manage priorities, and complete assigned tasks with minimal management follow up. 

• Candidate has quantitative skills with a high proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft based programs.

• Tableau or visualization tool familiarity

• Experience with Loan IQ, transaction capture tools, etc.

• Keen attention to detail

• Developed analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Client relationship and solution skills

Additional non-core qualifications which will be considered are:

• Experience within a large global team supporting wholesale lending at large financial Institution

• Knowledge of wholesale loan (syndicated / bilateral) product and business, including an understanding of legal loan documentation, loan / funding mechanics, deal structure, funds flows, etc.

• Experience working with clients under time constraints to facilitate a transaction or process.

• Proven ability to collaborate with team members, Senior management and other business constituents

• Critical decision-making capabilities including the ability to identify, escalate, and propose solutions to problems

• Ability to multi-task through the practice of strong organizational and time management skills with experience in continuously following-up with various stakeholders

• Understanding and awareness of appropriate corporate and regulatory policies in relation to Lending

• Deep understanding of operational processes supporting Wholesale lending

• Focus on achieving/exceeding key operating standards within a KPI/metrics driven culture

• Ability to work in an environment where priorities are frequently changing
