As an Interdisciplinary Electrical/Electronics Engineer, you will:
- Serve as the designated telecommunications specialist for WAPA's facilities.
- Be responsible for the planning and design of major multi state microwave, mobile radio systems, telephony, telemetry or fiber optic systems necessary for power operations within WAPA.
- Prepare and review designs, drawings, interfaces, and quantity estimates for telecommunication systems used throughout WAPA facilities.
- Prepare technical specifications and evaluations; perform microwave and fixed radio system path profile, antenna heights, and path budget analysis.
- Provide design and engineering consultation for coordination with the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, Department of Interior, Department of Agriculture, the National Telecommunications Information Agency (NTIA), and other entities for microwave and radio telecommunication systems.
- Recommend and review policy, procedures, guidelines, and standards for the design, installation, operations, and maintenance of telecommunication systems.
- Administer and manage WAPA's frequency spectrum program.
- Provide telecommunications related software/database development and support.
