MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor of science in engineering degree from an ABET accredited educational institution and eight (8) or more years of experience in the area of assigned engineering responsibility.  Appropriate co-op time and/or an advanced degree in engineering, business or other relevant courses of study may substitute for up to one year of experience.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATES

Valid State of Florida Professional Engineer license may be required.

Principal Accountabilities:

Position Summary

The Biopharma, Patient & CDI (BPC) team creates technology solutions for our external customers.  This includes all digital (web, mobile, omni-channel, & devices) products, platforms, services and experiences in service of patients, HCPs, payors, pharmacists, or clinical sites.

Role Summary

We seek a skilled and experienced Principal Engineer to join Rosalind and help deliver our Customer Data Platform services. You will be accountable for technical engineering decisions, solution designs, and delivery, as well as elements of the operation of your assigned services.

In this technical leadership role, you will act as the executor and the visionary behind technical solutions. You will lead teams of between 10 and 25 technical resources to solve complex engineering problems, craft the technical designs and ensure a successful delivery of high-quality products and services from inception to completion. This role requires exceptional technical knowledge, strong management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while sharing responsibility with other program leads for achieving the desired objectives.

You will also be accountable for delivery of security-and privacy-first capabilities while creating an environment where engineers can do their best work as measured by a quarterly Developer’s Experience survey, and alignment and contribution to the service network and technical engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

A normal work week consists of leading one or more teams of engineers to deliver and implement technical solutions, following your design approach to meet your assigned program objectives and KPIs. You will also collaborate closely and often with Chief Marketing Office (CMO) Leads, Digital Leads, and Product Owners, to ensure that technical decisions and their implementation align with broader strategic priorities.

You represent engineering in program and stakeholder meetings, as such you’ll need to be able to think on your feet: provide consultation, identify risks based on a variety of factors, and rely on your past experiences to identify potential solutions and develop ballpark estimates.

In many situations you will be working with technology that is new to Pfizer and requires you to learn quickly, be able to read and understand documentation, and architect robust and scalable solutions that align with our business objectives.

Using influence more than authority, you will lead teams of engineers on the implementation of the solution. Technical Leadership 

• Serve as the top technical authority on projects, making decisions on technology choices, design approaches, solution architecture and implementation.

• Lead and oversee the entire lifecycle excellence of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with architectural vision and adherence to best practices.

• Responsible for maintaining good code quality by promoting and ensuring secure code hygiene.

• Responsible for guiding the correct configuration of SaaS solutions to ensure security and compliance.

• Build a team able to manage change. Take appropriate risks to achieve the desired results, balancing risks to stability and current norms versus the need for constant change, improvement, and simplification.

• Facilitate the conversation between Enterprise Architects, Business Architects, Vendors and Developers, by providing technical clarity on solution(s) to build and code to write, move content from ideation into delivery to move from concept to reality.

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Act as a translator between business stakeholders and technical engineers, to ensure that technical, security and privacy considerations are represented in strategic discussions and business objectives are being met by our solutions.

• Align objectives, dependencies, and schedules across multiple teams to keep teams unblocked, and to ensure seamless projects execution.

• Collaborate with other Principal Engineers, and through the Principal Engineers Forum, to share best practices, quality standards, address improvement areas, and ensure effective communication of information.

• Collaborate with security teams to monitor vulnerabilities, implement defenses, and ensure compliance with security best practices.

• Collaborate with digital operations and support to ensure smooth BAU operations.

• Lead or assist in the response to security incidents, ensuring rapid containment, mitigation, and recovery.

• Lead troubleshooting during operational outages, guiding the team to diagnose and resolve issues quickly.

• Work towards system resilience and implement post-mortem analyses to identify root causes and prevent future incidents.

Qualifications & Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Professional certifications in engineering leadership are a plus.

• Demonstrable experience operating in a DevOps environment.

• Proven capability handling large scale, enterprise software delivery in a global 24/7 environment.

At a technical level, we are looking for engineers with qualifications and expertise in the following areas:

• Experience driving and participating in technical discovery to architect and deliver solutions that meet program business objectives.

• Systems thinking experience demonstrated by architecting complex solutions that require integrating multiple solutions.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience using AWS services to build real-life large-scaled solutions.

The Opportunity

The Flight Department at our Daytona Beach Campus is currently accepting applications for a Flight Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative. 

This position is responsible for several support functions associated with flight course activities, including dispatching, data collection, flight following, customer service, and controlling the flow of fleet aircraft for maintenance both scheduled and unscheduled, as well as line service and ramp security. (Work shift to be determined.)

Job Duties:

• Operate the interface between flight dispatching and the control of aircraft maintenance to maximize aircraft availability.

• Collect and accurately record data from flight activities and oral room assignments to ensure proper billing and to facilitate scheduling of fleet maintenance daily.       

• Provide a high level of customer satisfaction and maintain a department image appropriate to ERAU as the leader in Aviation Education.

• Assist in ensuring the inspection programs are complied with and repairs are properly documented before aircraft are dispatched.  

• Assist in flight following of all ERAU aircraft while engaged in flight to ensure all aircraft can be accounted for at any given time and to help coordinate the logistics for aircraft problems away from home base. 

• Provide training and coordinate the activities of the Student Employee labor force supporting flight operations and customer service requirements.

• Perform scheduling operations after normal scheduling hours.

• Maintain hardware on ramp to ensure aircraft security.  Conduct ramp inspections to remove foreign object debris.

Position Summary

This is the fourth level of the non-Engineer degreed technical support role job classification and considered the career level for the job hierarchy. Senior Engineering Technologist provide technical expertise to solve more complex problems, and leadership skills to manage work in a specific area of expertise, with minimal supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and to have the ability to work independently with increased latitude for unreviewed work.

Responsibilities

• Provides subject matter technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems in area of expertise.
• Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities.
• Independently reviews and prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches.
• Conducts engineering and related studies.
• Strives to continually improve job-related, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance.
• Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities. Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills. Maintains accurate records and files.
• Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally.
• Coaches and mentors other Engineering Technologists and Engineers.

Required/Basic Qualifications

• Associates degree in Engineering Technology
• 8 years related work experience
• In lieu of Associates degree(s) AND 8 year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 12 year(s) related work experience

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Technology

• Good written and oral communication skills.

• Experience in the utility industry.

• Proficient in applying principles of project management.

Specific Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

• Good written and oral communication skills.

• Either 6+ years of relevant industry experience coupled with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology (or equivalent), or 8+ years of experience and Associate Degree in Engineering Technology (or equivalent), or 12+ years equivalent experience without a degree.

Photonics Ops South has a team of highly experienced engineers, scientists, & technicians who work in tight-knit groups on state-of-the-art projects. This positions requires you to work 100% on-site.

More About the Role:

• The software/optical engineering intern will be part of the Orlando, Florida Manufacturing Operations and Engineering Team; they will gain experience on highly technical revolutionary optical products that utilizes photonic principals to serve the national interests of the United States
• This role will be responsible for utilization of optical equipment, optical test and execution, GUI software, and product verification testing
• Including projects related to optical process and performance, verification test software, and final system environmental and acceptance testing in an SDA regulated environment
• This role will receive technical guidance and mentorship from the different CACI Orlando, FL engineering groups that support the operational progression of the product lines focusing on software and optics
• The software/optical engineering internship will help establish foundations for the selected applicant in space-flight production learning about ISO 9000 compliancy and other industry best practice standards

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• Must currently be enrolled in High School OR a full-time Undergraduate, Graduate, or Doctorate Student
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
• Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearance
• Experience working in a fast pace exciting team environment
• Curiosity for how things work, and drive to learn more
• Hands-on or theoretical experience with optics and lasers
• Understanding of computers and software capabilities

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• If Undergraduate or Graduate, pursing a degree in or related field; Photonics, Software/Computer Science, Electromechanics is preferred, not required
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, not required
• Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
• Previous experience working with optical systems and testing output
• Experience with software systems (Python, C #, SQL)
• Experience working in aerospace manufacturing.
