Assistant Professor, Shengxiao (Alex) Li (Department of Architecture) is looking for a full-time research assistant/engineer to join in January 2025 and work on projects related to migration of older people and sustainable governance. Potential projects include using LinkedIn data to examine employment networks of sustainability-related employees and their impacts on governance outcomes, and migration networks of older Americans and potential drivers. The research assistant/engineer will meet with Alex regularly and report directly to Alex. • Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5-6 years of experience in IT Incident Management, DLP Operations or SOC
• Experience in multiple channels of DLP implementation and operations
• Good team player as well as strong communications skills
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently

Job Description:

• General / Electrical Failure Analysis Engineer
• Perform failure analysis using various tools and instruments such as Lock-In Thermography, OBIRCH/PEM, 2D/3D X-ray and CSAM;
• Perform sample preparation (parallel lapping, delayering, decapsulation) using FIB, SEM/EDX and other preparation techniques;
• Communicate with customer for selecting proper analytical technique and data interpretation;
• Prepare analytical reports;
• Document new failure analysis operating procedures, training and certification specs;
• Participate/assist in new failure analysis techniques development;
• Perform routine instrument preventive maintenance and laboratory housekeeping;

Job Requirements:

• At least Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering; Material Science Engineering; Science & Technology;
• Must be able to perform FA study individually and work well in teams;
• Experience with Thermal/OBIRCH/TIVA/PEM would be preferred;
• Experience in other FA techniques including: Sample preparation (parallel lapping, IC delayering, decapsulation) X-Ray, FIB and circuit edit would be a bonus;
• Experience in Wafer Fab/Semiconductor/LED/Solar/HDD industries would be useful;
• A team player who can be independent, hardworking with a persevering attitude.
