Who you are
We are on the lookout for a talented UX Engineer to lead the charge in designing and developing our Mango Design System (Mango DS). In this exciting role, you'll play a crucial part in connecting the worlds of design and development, crafting reusable UI components that ensure a seamless and consistent experience across our platform. This position is a harmonious blend of UX design expertise and front-end development expertise, as you'll work hand-in-hand with both designers and engineers to nurture and enhance the design system.
What you will do
- Take charge of creating, developing, and managing the Mango Design System to guarantee a seamless user experience across our entire product lineup.
- Craft and implement versatile UI components leveraging cutting-edge front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, along with frameworks such as React, Angular, and Web Components.
- Transform designs into fully operational components that adhere to our design system.
- Ensure all components are fine-tuned for accessibility, performance, and responsiveness.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and developers to align the design system with business requirements and ensure scalability as our products evolve.
- Keep up-to-date and document design patterns, style guides, and component libraries for the benefit of the broader product and development teams.
What you’ll need
- Proven experience as a UX Engineer or Front-End Developer with a strong emphasis on design systems
- Exceptional skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, along with expertise in front-end frameworks like React, Angular, and Web Components
- A robust understanding of UX design principles and hands-on experience working in tandem with designers and engineers
- Familiarity with design tools like Figma or similar platforms
- Excellent communication skills to foster effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
Some ‘nice to haves’
- A degree in computer science, UX design, or a related field is an advantage.
- Experience in SaaS or digital product design is highly desirable.
