Day-to-day, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the mechanical assembly and testing of a wide range of equipment, from small sub-assemblies to large process plants.

• Assemble and test mechanical components and systems, ranging from small sub-assemblies to large process plant equipment.

• Participate in mechanical development projects, including building and testing of equipment.

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols in a safety-critical environment.

• Work with complex mechanical assemblies, ensuring accuracy and adherence to tight tolerances.

• Support ongoing production assembly and testing projects to meet deadlines and project requirements.

• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during the assembly and testing process.

This role is full time 37 hours per week and is based on site at Whetstone

Essential experience of the Mechanical Technician

• Experience working in safety-critical environments.
• Proven experience with complex mechanical assemblies and working to tight tolerances is desirable.

Qualifications for the Mechanical Technician

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (or a related discipline) is required.

We are looking for an Engineering/Welding Lecturer with the ability to deliver across the full range of the department's provision (Full time, part time and commercial courses). You may currently be working in an engineering or welding setting looking for your first job in teaching. If your qualifications, skills and experience include those related to an Engineer (Welding) role we would like to hear from you. We would like a lecturer with a passion for the engineering sector and innovation who will bring new ideas and latest industrial knowledge to the directorate to share with others.

Working as part of the engineering team you will be responsible for the delivery and development of courses. You will possess an excellent knowledge and understanding of Welding theory and practical applications and be able to plan and use a range of effective and appropriate teaching and learning techniques.

We hope to add value to our team during this process taking on a person with a passion to share their current knowledge and experience with others. Who has worked in industry throughout their careers, and who would like to support the SMB Groups electrical provision to continually improve year on year, this can be done by offering what our customers what and exceed their expectations.

Domestic Gas Repair & Maintenance Engineer Needed (Mobile Role)

Area: Coalvile & surrounding area

Time: Full time

Salary : £28080-£38450 per annum (Based on experience & qualifications)

Overview of Role:

The primary responsibility of the Gas Engineer will be to maintain and repair heating systems in our clients' properties. They will ensure that the heating & hot water systems are operating efficiently and safely, and that any repairs are completed in a timely manner ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out service and maintenance works on a variety of domestic properties across the region.
• Ensuring high levels of customer care in dealing with clients and tenants to meet the required quality standards.
• Communicate updates and progress of work, completing the required paperwork electronically and manually.
• Ensure all Health and Safety requirements and legislation, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and COSHH Records, are adhered to during your daily work.
• To comply with stock ordering and auditing procedures so relevant parts are available to fulfil job requirements.

Key Attributes & Requirements:

• Gas qualifications are essential for this role including as a minimum CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1.
• Out of Hours evening and weekend cover on a rota basis is required as part of this role
