Job Role:
The Maintenance Engineer (CNC, Fabrication, and Welding) role in Derby involves ensuring the smooth operation of CNC machinery, fabrication equipment, and welding tools. Responsibilities include conducting regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, and implementing preventive maintenance procedures. The engineer will also be involved in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality. The ideal candidate should have experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC, fabrication, and welding equipment.
Typical Duties will involve:
- Maintain and repair CNC and Fabrication / Welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime and increase equipment efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and facilities and perform necessary repairs.
- Maintain and repair mechanical systems.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and perform routine maintenance check.
- Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Desirable experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance of CNC, Fabrication / Welding equipment.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing industrial machinery and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Ability to use hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
