The role
As a New Business Manager, you will drive business development efforts and acquire new customers in the Medtech & Healthtech industry. You would be selling IT and digital service offerings (including Data and AI) to buying centers in medical devices, consumer health and healthtech companies. Our goal is to sustainably expand our customer base across Singapore, Hong Kong and South East Asia.
How you’ll make impact
n Acquiring new clients – You are a hunter, and your strategic mindset enables you to acquire new customers for Zühlke, solidify our market position, and identify up- and cross-selling opportunities. You introduce Zühlke to key decision maker and senior-level executives at potential clients and manage the initial stages of client engagement, ensuring that prospects understand the benefits of Zühlke. You present tailored solutions, drive the sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure, and ensure a smooth handover to delivery teams while focusing on achieving revenue growth.
n Networking – you nurture a network of contacts, build long-term relationships with decision-makers, and attend industry events to enhance Zühlke's visibility and identify business opportunities.
n Inspiring – as Zühlke's ambassador, you position the company as a trusted partner, spot market trends, generate leads through strategic outreach, and engage potential clients by showcasing Zühlke’s value and capabilities. You stay ahead of industry developments and client challenges, providing valuable insights to internal teams to refine service offerings and ensure they stay competitive and aligned with market demands.
n Collaboration & Internal Communication – You collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, delivery, and leadership teams, to ensure that sales efforts are aligned with the overall business strategy. Regularly communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment.
n Mentor and coach more junior team members, helping them grow their business development, consultative sales and client management skills.
What’s important to us
n Domain expertise in Medtech (especially selling to medical devices companies) and Healthtech (including consumer health) industry.
n Active network of executive level contacts within the Singapore and/or Hong Kong.
n Proven track record of achieving/exceeding sales quota.
n Proven professional experience selling data/AI, digital service offerings and software development projects. You have several years of experience in a comparable role with responsibilities in account management, market development and sales of digital service offerings.
n Proven complex sales skills – You bring extensive experience in consultative selling of IT services, showcasing a proven track record of winning complex sales over several years.
n Significant experience influencing C-suite decision-makers.
n Formal sales training such as SPIN, Miller Heiman, etc. combined with practical application is highly advantageous.
n Tech-savvy – You have a keen interest in technology and implementation-related issues.
n Fluent Communication in English (proficient in both written and spoken communication) – knowing Chinese or Cantonese is a plus.
n Your communication skills enable you to identify customer needs / pain points and develop convincing offers together with colleagues from other business areas.
n You have strong business acumen combined with entrepreneurial spirit.
n Exemplary work ethic with proven capability to perform effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
n You possess a degree, preferably in the business or technology field.
n An understanding of Agile Methodology is preferred.
n This is an individual contributor role.
n This position can be based in Singapore or Hong Kong.
