My client are seeking multiple experienced and proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technicians to manage the upkeep and maintenance of a prominent commercial building in Central London. This role involves performing both planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure smooth daily operations and a safe, comfortable environment for all tenants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Conduct scheduled maintenance on essential building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building fabric to avoid equipment failures and ensure operational reliability.
• Reactive Maintenance: Quickly respond to and resolve maintenance issues and breakdowns, minimizing downtime and ensuring minimal disruption to building users.
• Electrical and Mechanical Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment, including lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and minor plumbing.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities follow strict health and safety standards, including risk assessments, safe working practices, and compliance with building regulations.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and replacements, including updating logs and reports as required.
• Contractor Management: Coordinate with and oversee external contractors and vendors when necessary, ensuring work quality and safety standards are met.

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 2/3 in electrical or mechanical engineering
• 18th Edition (if electrically bias)
• Experience in building services maintenance within a commercial environment, with strong electrical and mechanical skills.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good communication and organizational skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of BMS (Building Management Systems) is advantageous.

I am currently looking for 2 dedicated Building Services Fabric Technicians to oversee the fabric maintenance and repairs for a portfolio of my client's commercial buildings across London. As a core part of the facilities team, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and minor refurbishment of building fabric to ensure each property remains safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing for occupants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabric Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance on internal and external building fabric, including repairs to walls, floors, ceilings, doors, and windows.
• Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Carry out planned maintenance to prevent deterioration, focusing on areas such as carpentry, painting, plastering, tiling, and general upkeep.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Conduct repairs and maintenance following strict health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with building regulations.

You'll be supporting your own dedicated site as our client's first point of call for PPM and reactive M&E and other general building services maintenance. Tasks could include emergency light testing, fire alarms, lamp changes, basic plumbing, and fabric work.

You'll enjoy working autonomously, where you will be responsible for delivering planned and preventative maintenance, fault finding and repair work. Ideally, you will have the ability to confidently carry out a range of other mechanical tasks as well.

To be successful you will have:

Essential:

• 18th edition or HVAC experience


• "On the job" experience working in an M&E Engineer role or similar

• Awareness and knowledge of health & safety

Desirable:

• F-Gas qualification


• IOSH working safely qualification

Mobilisation Engineer - FM Service Provider - Upminster based - £45,000 Per annum

Exciting opportunity to work for a leading FM service provider situated in London. I am currently recruiting for a Mobilisation Engineer based in London and Upminster. The successful candidate will be working with the mobilisation team in setting up new contracts. Additional to the daily running of site other tasks may include the provision of training, Asset verification, Conditional Surveys, report producing and statutory log book creation. During any periods of non-mobilisation of new sites the individual will be required to undertake the same tasks on our existing contracts in order to create uniformity. Hours of work

Monday to Friday - 08:00am to 17:00pm

You will be based from the office in Upminster, Essex but you will be required to visit sites in London as part of the position.

Key duties & Responsibilities

- Upon commencement of a new contract role the Mobilisation Engineer will work alongside the current or newly appointed static site supervisor until the assistance is no longer required
- Produce a technically detailed conditional survey for reporting to client within the agreed time frame
- Verify assets and provide remedial recommendations if required
- Produce Photographic evidence of all plant items verified
- Provide estimated costs for completing any minor / major works detailed
- Provision of a detailed critical spares list (inclusive of costs and lead times)
- Additional photographic evidence of plant items in need of repair or replacement
- Produce Life Cycle Replacement program

Requirements

- A strong M&E technical background
- A good understanding of engineering systems
- Good Knowledge of building services
- Good Knowledge of statutory log books
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, & Access)
- Ability to meet deadlines and “own” a task, seeing it through from beginning to completion.
- Excellent customer service skills
