79339 - Lead Operational Engineer SAP
This Lead Operational Engineer SAP will report to the Client Delivery Manager and will work within UKPN Services based in our Chatham office. You will be a permanent employee.
You will attract a salary of £89,786 plus car and a bonus of 3%.
If you are successful, you will need to undertake a medical and DBS reference check

If you do not have all relevant competencies for the core grade, it will be appropriate to appoint at a lower grade until you have developed the required competencies.

Job Purpose:
An opportunity has arisen for a Lead Operational Engineer to oversee their designated operational team across all facets of operational construction pertaining to the assets and infrastructure owned by UK Power Network Services.
You will collaborate with the Client Delivery Manager and other key figures within the UKPN Services Senior Management Team to achieve objectives and identify and secure new business opportunities. Your role involves guiding Operation Engineers, Apprentices, and Contractors to safely execute construction tasks, thereby minimizing any interruptions to the client's electricity supply.
Your responsibilities include ensuring the successful delivery of client-centric construction projects, managing the construction of substations and cabling on the client's private network infrastructure, and upholding safety management across your team in accordance with the UK Power Network Service's Stay Safe policy.
The operation, maintenance, and construction of Private HV Distribution Networks are crucial. This round-the-clock job demands meticulous attention to detail, commitment, and extensive collaboration across all sectors (both internal and external).
You will lead your team in the planning and execution of new connections, diversions, fault detection and repair, as well as lifecycle replacement projects and construction tasks related to electrical distribution equipment and infrastructure.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Maintain safety management across all areas of responsibility.
Oversee the construction schedule for UKPN Services' assets and operations, ranging from 11kV to 400v.
Collaborate with the Client Delivery Manager to ensure all work programs are completed on schedule and within budget.
