As a Project Design Engineer your responsibilities will include:
• Designing, developing and providing specifications of bespoke equipment
• Selecting materials & manufacturing techniques
• Ensuring design outputs conform to internal quality standards
• Outputting accurate CAD models, technical drawings and other technical documentation
• Chairing regular project design reviews with key stake holders
• Dealing with non-conformance and Engineering Change Management

We are looking for a Project Design Engineer with the following skills and experience:
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of engineering principles
• Proficient in the use of 2D & 3D CAD software (SolidWorks)
• Knowledge and understanding of the full product lifecycle process
• Experience working with and building/assembling bespoke equipment
• Familiar with critical or challenging equipment/environments where hazards are present
• Full UK driving licence

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

• Lead criterion - Experience of developing high quality, robust applications using the Microsoft Power Platform and Power Automate.
• Experience of working as part of a highly functioning multidisciplinary team supporting Agile/Rapid application developments environments.
• Knowledge and experience of assist with troubleshooting and the resolution of issues related to Power Platform applications.

They are an independent lift installation, servicing and repair company based in Ormskirk, Lancashire specialising in lift maintenance, lift & elevator repairs, lift refurbishment and the installations of lifts.

Priding themselves in the quality of lift installation and maintenance services provided to all of their customers, providing their services 24hrs a day throughout the Northwest area.

Their works are delivered to their client’s utilising their own directly employed engineers for which they now seek to add further engineers to their valued team to deliver.

About the Role:

They now require a further lift engineer to complement their existing team of directly employed lift engineers.

The position is a permanent role and not on a sub-contract basis working on goods, passenger, service and platform lifts.

The role requires, but is not limited to:

• Pre-planned preventative maintenance and service visits.
• Call-out attendance and minor repairs.
• Participation within the company callout rota.

Candidate Requirements:

• Prior lift engineering experience is essential an EOR202 is required as the minimum
• Further progression and NVQ3/NVQ4 training qualifications available
• Overtime paid at premium rates above basic hourly rate
• Out of Hours working paid door to door
• 33 days annual leave inclusive of public bank holidays
• Full and current UK driving license essential
