Role Overview

We are on the lookout for a permanent dynamic Quality Systems Engineer to join our client's team. Your role would be to support the Quality Manager / Quality Engineers in the development and control of the business management systems, standards, and customer specific requirements. Working 40-hour week, Monday to Thursday 7:30 to 4:15, Friday 7:30 to 3:00.

As a Quality Systems Engineer your role will consist of:

• Implement and maintain up-to-date quality management systems
• To maintain and ensure certification to IATF16949 China Compulsory Certification, and any customer specific requirements known and understood within the business.
• To report and track internal and external audit findings to completion within agreed timescales through
• Support the Quality Manager in providing data for the Management Review.
• Assist with general problem solving
• Support the Quality Manager by leading all external Quality certification audits.
• Management, upkeep, and maintenance of the internal document control system.
• Support the Quality Manager by leading all internal / Customer Quality audits.
• Maintain Customer specific requirements for the plant and ensure they are captured within the Business Management System.
• Laise with management to help drive improvements across the site and present
• Provide performance analysis and metrics as required by the business.
• Team member on 8D investigations (where applicable).
• Has knowledge of procedures regarding health and safety at work, incident reporting, EHS screening, actions taken by EHS coordinators and EHS committees.
• Manage the China Compulsory Certification requirements for the business.
• Generate Layered Process Audit (MPA, LPA) analysis data and report out to the business.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

Essential

• HND / Degree or equivalent in a relevant field
• Proven experience working within a Quality / System based role.
• Experience of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards, including internal audit experience.
• Analytical approach / attention to detail.
• Experienced conducting internal & External audits
• Computer literate with Microsoft packages.

Desirable

• Business Improvement Degree / Masters
• VDA 6.3 experience
• Experience within automotive is preferable

Working for a friendly and personable public sector client, as a Field Engineer, you will be part of the team required to do all levels of face-to-face support at various locations in Birmingham.

• Respond to client and system service requests and troubleshoot and fix technical faults and issues to completion.
• Handle security and network administration tasks.
• Perform any hardware repair and replacement.
• Ensure equipment is installed and ready for use by the end-user.
• Co-ordinate on site cabling and hardware installation duties, working with Core Network to ensure hardware is correctly deployed and connectivity is tested and reachable remotely.
• Survey shop premises for Wi-Fi & 4G coverage and capture other vital information required for the planning of future deployments of associated hardware and cabling for projects.
• Perform Pre Cable' and 'Pre deploy' duties in cases where circuits and client sites are yet to be delivered or readied by vendors.
• Troubleshoot/Investigate and rectify circuit connection errors & circuit/hardware down scenarios
• Perform Hardware upgrades on legacy equipment and re-cable as instructed.

You will be experienced in Cisco, VMWare, O365, Intune, Windows Server and Sophos.
You will need your own vehicle and an enhanced DBS will be carried out.

As The Data Engineer, you will be acting as lead in data engineering projects and supporting the development of Data Management and reporting, as well as being responsible for a multitude of tasks, including, running bespoke projects for individual business units - ensuring data availability, accuracy, automation, and visibility. Supporting the growth of a new data culture from the ground-up by facilitating increased data literacy and new tool adoption.
Experience:

• Master's degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering) or equivalent experience
• Experience working in an agile environment/Atlassian tools
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with an ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical audiences
• Expertise in working with Azure including, Data factory, Kubernetes, SQL Server MI, Azure SQL & Synapse
• Expert at ETL/ ELT using SQL tools as well external programming languages (R/ Python)
• Extensive experience with SQL including - query optimization, stored procedures, database creation & maintenance, index optimization & efficient table structuring
• Extensive practical implementation of data best working practices including, Confluence, Jira (agile methodologies, sprints and project management), Version Control (GitHub) & Naming conventions
• Expert at transforming raw data from multiple sources into useful data systems, improving data quality, its overall accessibility and visibility (Tableau / PowerBI)
• Experience of running projects

Accountabilities:

• Drive significant efficiencies through Data through exemplary use and execution of modern technology leveraging the Azure Data technology stack and AI
• Derive business value from Data whilst meeting and exceeding the expectations of customers, suppliers and colleagues in an innovative and future-driven technology landscape.
• Improving and streamlining data systems and providing robust solutions for business reporting.
• Consolidating and maintaining existing data sources and solutions, while driving the adoption of cloud services.
• Build effective and credible relationships with key stakeholders to become a trusted partner through stakeholder engagement
• Deliver technical projects in-line with the business strategy.
• Liaise with data scientists/ engineers/ analysts to ensure project scalability and architectures do not impact model outputs and all are accessible to all stakeholders
• Consolidation of legacy system data sources into our Microsoft Azure tenant
• Maintenance and development of existing databases and, preservation of external products & BAU pipelines
• Expansion to provide streamlined data automation to all business departments
• Contribute and support the Data Engineering Lead in delivering a new data culture
• Ensure data availability, visibility and integrity are pioneered through increased data literacy across the business
• Successful implementation and execution of key projects and associated KVD's
