Typical work would involve conducting commissioning and maintenance activities such as; Instrumentation Setup and Calibration, Reverse Osmosis Membrane & Filter replacement, Mechanical Disassembly of Pressure Vessels such as WFI/ PSG chambers, Chemical Cleaning as well as Mechanical Rotating Equipment and Electrical & Instrument troubleshooting and repairs (12VDC – 415VAC). All works are carried out in accordance with an approved method statement with on-the-job training included with the role.


Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidates come from an Engineering / Electrical / Process/ Chemical / Services background with previous experience and knowledge of Pharmaceutical Process Equipment including Purified Water Systems such as; Pre-treatment, RO/EDI, WFI Distillation, Plant & Clean Steam Generators, being considered a distinct advantage. Specialist product training will be provided for the right person.

Due to the location of client sites, frequent travel will be required with this role. This is typically travelling early Monday morning and returning Friday afternoon or sooner. Occasional Sunday travel is required for clients. All expenses are paid and additional working hours including travel will be paid at overtime rate. Saturday and Sunday shifts are subject to additional uplift payments on top of overtime hours.

Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with supporting qualifications (NVQ 3/HNC/HND) and be willing to demonstrate competence. A valid Driving license is also required, and the successful candidate will have use of a company pool vehicle for site works. • To undertake a range of general mechanical craft skills, which may include some maintenance or removal of pumps, pump component replacements, valves, gearboxes, specialist electrical interface hydraulics and pneumatics, fitting, pipe disconnections, and mechanical devices (such as bearing’s couplings, brakes and safety guards)
• Close liaison with the project team to plan and co-ordinate resources and materials required for the job.
• To ensure the personal safety of self and others, including undertaking extensive Risk Assessments and the subsequent selection of appropriate equipment and safe working practices.
• An extensive knowledge of the processes within Water/Waste industry.
• Key input at the design stage with other Engineering members of the project team.

Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

We have an opportunity for an Electrical Testing Engineer based within our Risk & Compliance Team, with responsibility for carrying out electrical periodic inspection & testing across our existing facilities management contracts as well as a wider external client base.

Successful candidate should have a formal technical education in an electrical discipline to a minimum of City & Guilds level or equivalent, hold 18th Edition BS 7671:2018 (2382-18) and ideally Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (2391-51) or equivalent qualifications.

Must have a minimum of 3 years relevant post apprenticeship experience in a building services maintenance or installation role and hold a valid CSCS card, should be able to undertake general electrical installation & repair works and be competent in fault finding.

A full UK driving licence is also essential.

Contracted hours of work will be Mon to Fri: 08.00-16:30 although this will be varied when required to accommodate operational needs of the company and our client base.

Location: Reporting to Main Office in Stirling, working primarily across Central Scotland, though works can extend to Highlands & Islands and occasionally into England.

Key Responsibilities:
