Application Support Engineer is responsible for maintaining and supporting hosting platforms and client environments. They are responsible for working with stakeholders, ensuring progress and resolution is communicated throughout incidents. Join our team as an Application Support Engineer!
Capita Technology and Software Solutions (TSS) is seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer for the ENNI Managed Service contract in Northern Ireland. This role is home or office-based within Northern Ireland, with some on-site travel required. You will work within the Education sector, delivering and supporting the applications and user interfaces that are at the forefront of the service we provide to schools, staff, and pupils.
Key skills and experience required:
• Experience with a major scripting language, both in development and support of existing functions
• SQL management and scripting
• SUSE Linux or other Linux/Unix admin skills
• Windows administration
• Skilled in 3rd party supplier and application management
• Eligibility for security clearance
• Current driving license
Desirable skills and experience:
• Knowledge of Azure, Office 365, and Google Workspace, with evidence of cloud certifications
• Experience with Microfocus Identity and Authorization Management products
• Experience with Dynatrace SaaS
• Data lake/data warehousing expertise
• Staff mentoring and guidance
