Job Overview:
As a Senior Piping Engineer, you will lead and oversee all aspects of piping projects, ensuring precision in design and seamless execution. This position requires close coordination with multiple engineering disciplines, making it ideal for a seasoned engineer with a passion for leadership and technical excellence. Your role will be instrumental in steering projects toward success while mentoring junior engineers and driving improvements within the piping department.
Job Scope:
- Drive the creation and refinement of piping layouts, material take-offs (MTOs), and 3D model evaluations for intricate piping systems.
- Analyse stress and vibration data, offering technical expertise and recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive project progress.
- Oversee technical specifications, support standards, and material selection to meet project requirements.
- Conduct regular progress assessments and provide strategic recommendations for project alignment.
- Offer technical guidance during construction and installation phases to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting a culture of quality and efficiency in design.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 12 years of experience in piping design, stress evaluation, and construction engineering support, including 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and 3D modelling tools (e.g., Navisworks or SPR).
- Strong technical knowledge of piping stress/vibration analysis, material selection, and system design.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide and motivate multidisciplinary teams
