This series covers interdisciplinary 0801/1301 General Engineer/Physical Scientist positions which are managing, supervising, leading, and/or performing professional engineering work or work in the physical sciences and may include work in a combination of physical science fields.

As an interdisciplinary General Engineer/Physical Scientist, at minimum you will perform one or more of the following:

• Use sound technical judgment and initiative to resolve the challenges of changing conditions and other problems relative to the assigned projects and programs.
• Use physics or mechanical, nuclear, electrical, chemical, civil, or industrial engineering theories, principles, and practices.
• Analyze situations, identify problems, probe causes, and recommends courses of action or solutions.
• Work closely with a team, perform assessments, clearly and concisely document assessment results, and present findings orally and in writing to the approval authority.
• Coordinate with related engineering and physical science fields adequate to effectively discuss technical points and to recommend acceptable engineering solutions to problems.
• Perform and interpret calculations, analyses, and computations for unknown factors or relationships primarily in the matters of factual nature of involving well understood mechanisms.
• Provide scientific advice and guidance to officials, managers, scientists, and engineer.
• Serve as an expert for a significant segment of a specific area in one or more of the following: advanced scientific computing research; basic energy sciences; biological and environmental research; fusion energy sciences; high energy physics; nuclear physics; and workforce development.
• Provide technical guidance on proposed research projects and programs of interest.
• Coordinate, implement, and evaluate segments of research programs in the assigned area of responsibility.
• Assemble essential information on topics of assigned segments of research through various source materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To assist engineer to develop and implement for new cleaning recipe to meet the new customer requirement
• To create and setup DOE for enhanced cleanliness
• Learn on wiping and ultrasonic cleaning technology for both chemical and equipment setting

• You will independently lead or participate as a key analyst in both workplace studies and/or process improvement efforts broad in scope, but most often focused on work performance measurement, methods, and procedures.
• You will conduct audits and evaluations, surveys, stakeholder interviews and focus groups, and collect, analyze, interpret, and correlate large amounts of narrative and statistical data about various process measures.
• You will help employees develop strategies and tactics for data analysis and visualization projects.
• You will draft policy guidance, recommendation and point papers, and brief senior leaders on findings and recommendations for increasing broader organizational effectiveness.
• You will provide a broad scope of support on other projects to include: tracking taskers, developing and tracking execution of financial spend plans, and supporting survey development and analysis.

• You will resolve complex problems with a large number of diverse/hard to fill positions.
• You will prepare and review position descriptions.
• You will coordinate and assist with desk audits.
• You will analyze and provide guidance on special program requirements for some positions, such as Drug Free Workplace Program, Key/Emergency Essential, DAWIA, and other pre-employment contingencies.
• You will prepare responses to data calls.

As an Interdisciplinary General Engineer/Physical Scientist, you may:

• Act as a general engineer or physical scientist, overseeing a number of technically complex tribal clean energy projects or administer technical assistance relative to energy development, efficiency, and use on tribal lands.
• Lead efforts and conduct studies and analyses that will advance energy initiatives for American Indian or Alaskan Native tribal governments and tribal organizations.
• Act as a technical resource to Indian Tribes and tribal organizations, providing advice on project planning, project execution, and potential resources for clean energy development.
• Mentor other staff members, including, but not limited to, providing training, reviewing work products, providing feedback, and acting as an informational resource.
