This Shifted Field Engineer AP/SAP will report to the)Lead Field Engineer and will work within Network Operations-London Region -Central London Area based in our Shorts Gardens office. You will be a permanent employee.
You will attract a salary of £63,433 - £76,229 (Band E - D, dependant on skills and experience)pPlus 27% Shift Payments, plus car, plus London Allowance and a bonus of 3%.

Job Description:
To work as part of a 24-hour shifted team to deliver the enhanced fault response performance within the Central London area. This includes liaison with customers, Network Operations, London FRS, HV Control including onsite supervision of field staff and contractors. You will restore supplies in real-time HV and LV fault situations, plus plan for repairing faults when the network is stable. This will involve close working with the full-time dedicated customer champions within the team and integrated distribution planners.
To deliver an average LV arrival onsite time of 30 Minutes and 100% restoration of HV supplies lost within 1 hour within area and regional budgets.
Principal Accountabilities:
1.Ensure safety management throughout all responsibilities.
2. Responsibility for delivery of HV and LV fault response and repairs, work to time, cost, and quality, minimising network abnormal running conditions.
3. Ensuring staff comply with all procedures and work to a high standard of quality
4.Daily planning, coordination, and real-time responsibility for the efficient utilisation of resources with the schedulers and field staff supervisors.
5. Collaborate with HV/LV control-submission of HV/LV switching log, complete HV/LV network operations and updates in accordance to distribution safety rules and procedures.
6. Support and provide technical support to field staff.
7. Manage and resolve any contractual issues, with the support of contract management.
8.Identify faults where asset replacement is required and allocate costs accordingly.
9.Produce risk assessments and method statements for the safe delivery of projects work.
10. Complete quality assurance checks of works completed and rectify any quality issues identified.
11.Liaise with and manage relationships with our customers to meet their
expectations wherever possible
12 .Be prepared to assist other sections e.g., organisational changes, system emergencies as determined by your experience.
13 Manage aspects of Distribution Capital Delivery works for example LB replacements.
Nature and scope:
You will play an important role in the team to help deliver all capital programme, maintenance and faults work within Central London. Together with the scheduling team, field staff supervisor and field staff, you will deliver an excellent service to the customer, ensuring we meet the requirements of our Guaranteed Service Standards.
Essential Qualifications:
Essential
Commitment to safety.
ONC Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
HNC Electrical Engineering or equivalent (if not achieved, must be committed to undertake studies).
IT literate, including financial and work package (SAP)
Current valid driving licence.
Desirable:
LV/HV authorisation on the LPN network
Authorised to work on the enhanced interconnected LV network.
NRSWA (City and Guilds) Supervisors certificate
IOSH managing safety certificate.
Familiarity with MS Excel spreadsheets
Project management
