The Opportunity:
As a senior member of the maritime engineering team you will be responsible for supervision of staff and stakeholders, engineering functions, design review facilitation and integration guidance.
This is a critical function that will cross all areas of the sustainment program. You will provide engineering subject matter expertise, manage project budgets, contractors and suppliers. Working alongside the Principal Engineer your role will be to mitigate risk and manage progress of engineering teams in line with project scope and deadlines.
This is a permanent opportunity based in Sydney.
Roles and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Provide expert engineering advice and support to Defence executives, managers, staff and industry partners and customers.
- Manage the required systems engineering services include requirements engineering, integration engineering, verification and validation, test and evaluation, mechanical, electrical, structural and safety engineering.
- Conduct integrated planning, scheduling, risk management and estimating of work/tasks.
- Recommends process, product or service improvements.
Baseline defence security clearance or higher is required to be considered for this role
