What skills, knowledge and experience will you need to show us in your application? 

• Experience of leading and inspiring teams to deliver strategic outcomes with a focus on service excellence

• Experience of building capability and leading service teams, establishing and maintaining support and operating models for critical services, with a focus on continual service improvement

• Demonstrable experience of a service management framework, embedding policies and procedures in a complex hybrid cloud environment

• Experience of delivering and supporting shared services at scale, preferably automation, orchestration or CI/CD tools

• Understanding of cloud infrastructure and shared services, specifically how they should be used to support delivery of strategic business objectives.

You and your role 

As Head of Tooling Services, you will set our vision and strategy, delivering centrally managed, resilient and secure shared services, and driving adoption across DWP Digital.

You'll be the Service Owner for Tooling Services, as we continue our exciting and necessary yourney to hybrid cloud hosting and intelligent tooling. Your responsibilities include overseeing incident and problem management, change management, service transition, and continual service improvement

You will have the opportunity to shape and lead multiple service teams, making sure we have enough people, talent and capacity to design, build, and operate shared tooling services.

You will be a key member of the Hybrid Cloud Services Senior Leadership Team (SLT), helping to define and deliver DWP's Hosting Strategy, with a focus on the delivery and adoption of Cloud and centrally managed resilient, secure and cost-effective shared services.

We are seeking a skilled Construction Site Manager with mechanical background to oversee the development and delivery of EPC activities, ensuring they meet key targets of time, cost, quality, and HSE as agreed by the business. The ideal candidate should possess extensive civil and electrical experience, with a strong background in site construction management and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritise Safety, Health & Environmental protection in all construction activities
• Lead the project HSE Team for managing HSE activities during construction and commissioning phases
• Act as the Principal Contractor under the CDM Regulations
• Manage construction hazards and key risks to minimise project impact
• Lead the construction team to successfully deliver project requirements
• Collaborate with key customer plant personnel to align construction plan with standards and requirements
• Provide construction support for commissioning activities
• Define construction estimates and manage expenditure within budget
• Ensure construction meets quality standards and test requirements

• Attend project start up meetings and manage all mechanical aspects, delivering the project, on time and within budget.
• Familiarise yourself with all details and specifications of the project.
• Collate technical submittals, ensuring they are issued and followed through until approval.
• Manage labour tracker.
• Maintain Progress Report weekly, reporting and managing any changes/variations.
• Liaise with main contractors and the client-based site team.
• Oversee coordination and delivery of project plant and equipment.
• Ensure adequate materials are always available to complete the project.
• Ensure construction and commissioning programmes are in place for the job and implement the commission plan on site.
• Manage K&M handover process and maintain K&M Document Management System.
• Project specific scheduling.
• Attend meetings as required with Sub Contractors to ensure on time delivery.
• Attend general site meetings and action any points raised.
• Communicate any innovative project specific works to Contracts Manager (R&D)

What you'll need to succeed

• Extensive experience in a Mechanical Project Manager or similar role
• Successful track record of delivering large-scale projects
• Qualification in Construction/Project Management is preferred
• Experience of supervising teams

This site is located 14 miles from Hull, 16 miles from Scunthorpe and 24 miles from Grimsby.

The roleWe have a fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Shift Leader, to join the busy and active team at our food manufacturing facility in Barton Upon Humber. You will manage a team of shift Engineers whilst helping maintain, install and improve the performance of processing equipment across the Bakkavor Barton Bread site.

The role


- Manage the engineering team to ensure delivery of scheduled work and reactive work so that plant availability is optimised and manage technical specifications for ingredients, products, processes & packaging
- Implement agreed training & development plans to meet engineering & production needs. Comply with statutory & Bakkavor Health & Safety requirement, ensures reports work in a safe manner. This will include ownership of dynamic risk assessment process
- Ensure engineering downtime is minimised, accurately logged, and monitor the repair time. Liaise with planning and operations team to allow for PPM to be completed in a timely manner
- Ensure all stock is logged in and out of the stores area highlighting any stock issues to the engineering team manager


- To maintain standards of hygiene and good housekeeping appropriate to a quality food manufacturer. GMP standard of workshops and engineers tool boxes is maintained at a high level


About you


- Strong people management experience
- A multi skilled background


- Experience completing both reactive and planned maintenance activity and small installations
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Appropriate professional mechanical or electrical engineering qualifications and training
- Thorough understanding of common mechanical and electrical systems
- Professional attitude with plenty of drive and enthusiasm


- Good IT skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
