We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Chemical Stores Manager to join us. You will take ownership of managing a large GMP Chemical Stores facility and leading a team of 5-8 associates. We are offering this role on a full time, permanent basis.
You will work Monday to Friday during core hours, from our client's location at Macclesfield: Charter Way, Macclesfield, SK10 2NA.
Do you have experience of working in a highly regulated chemical warehouse,
managing dangerous goods, including flammable and hazardous materials and on top of this, do you have solid (3 – 5 years) people management experience? If the answer is “yes”, then this role could be for you.
The team
You’ll be leading and mentoring a team of 5 associates, however due to growth plans the team could be larger in the future.
You’ll join a close-knit leadership team that are looking after different areas of the business. It’s a diverse, open-minded team that likes to challenge each other in a positive way.
What we’re looking for?
- Education: Science-related degree or equivalent experience is an advantage
- Experience:
- Multiple years’ experience working in GMP areas with previous proven management and leadership responsibility. Understanding of regulatory aspects in GxP working environments preferably in the Pharma industry
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to converse and present material at all levels, both verbally, in text and through presentations using various IT systems, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong formal writing skills in order to author GMP documentation
- Knowledge of external audit requirements, change control, deviations/CAPAs
- Subject Matter Expert in Safety, Inventory Management systems or Warehousing
How you will thrive and create an impact?
- Management of daily operations within our customer’s Chemical Stores facility, making sure chemical materials are handled safely and to GMP standards – receipting, sampling, packing, labelling and warehousing
- Leadership and line management of a team of on-site employees providing scientific services to multiple customers
- Full training to provide operational support to the team where required
- Supporting customer’s Large Scale Laboratories and QA Sampling Team
- Management and investigations of Deviations, CAPA’s and Change Controls
- Ensuring the facilities are audit ready at all times, writing and reviewing GMP documentation
