Hays are delighted to be working exclusively with a multi-sector contractor based in Derby that specialises predominantly in the power sector. This reputable multi-accredited company has a strong pipeline of work in the power sector and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued contract wins, they are looking to onboard a Site Manager to work on a substation scheme in the Grantham area. The value of the works will range from £300k-£750k.
Your new role
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, managing direct labour and subcontractors, coordinating all site activities, maintaining an accurate site diary, undertaking site audits and inspections, as well as ensuring projects are delivered safely, within budget and to specified quality. You will be expected to commute and lodge at future sites further afield if need be.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will have previous experience in groundworks and precast concrete slabs within the civil engineering industry in a site management capacity and hold a CSCS card, SMSTS and First Aid qualification. You will also be able to manage and lead teams effectively to ensure successful project outcomes.
