I am dealing with a good client of mine who is a large industrial manufacturer to assist them in sourcing an Engineering Maintenance Manager for their site in Ayrshire. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the ideal candidate will come from a mechanical or electrical background and have in-depth knowledge and experience in heavy industry with a proven track record in good manufacturing practice and lean principles.

You will be responsible for all maintenance mechanical and electrical work, automation, site projects and maintenance systems on site. You will work closely with operations to manage the sites' production capacity to deliver on the Group's strategic objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Lead the maintenance team of fitters and electricians to deliver high performance process efficiency.

• Oversee network infrastructure projects, from planning to implementation, ensuring timely delivery and resource optimization. Engage with external vendors for managed services or new project implementation.
• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures. Conduct semi-annual reviews of these materials to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Act as the primary point of contact for escalated issues, providing timely updates to senior management and stakeholders. Work closely with the IT leadership to align network strategies with business goals.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Security, or Systems Engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in cloud environments and network technologies, with 3 years managing projects related to connectivity engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco and Palo Alto firewall technologies, with a strong understanding of network infrastructure, services (TCP/IP, Routing, DNS), and cloud connectivity (AWS, Azure).
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to stakeholders and team members. Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and managing cross-functional collaborations.
• Ability to analyse situations rigorously, logically, and systematically.

• A proven track record ensuring the proper functioning of operational services.
