CACI is seeking an innovative Engineering Operations Manager to lead a team of cross functional and technical professionals to support the Department of Department of the Air Force (DAF) Enterprise Information Technology as a Service (EITaaS) program.
This role is based in Chantilly, VA and offers the opportunity to work with a team of seasoned staffing, technical, and program management professionals who thrive on supporting our client's mission and growth objectives.
More About the Role:
The Engineering Operations Manager will be responsible for leading, designing and implementing engineering operational governance, process and procedures. May assist clients’ technical operations with designing and implementing a 24/7 Command and Control Monitoring services for all device endpoints. Responsible for providing recommendations on how to align short- and long-term engineering operational strategy, performance measures and fiscal impact.
You will have the following:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and must be able to effectively interface with management of all levels.
- Experience establishing and implementing strategies to achieve business results
- Experience establishing shift rotations for 24/7 operations
- Experience working with SOC, NOC, ESD, and senior leadership (both internal and Government)
- Ability to manage frequently complex and broad-based solutions that impact areas outside of immediate responsibility
- Possess the ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate and influence executive leadership
- Familiarity with the System Engineering Life Cycle or System Development Life Cycle
- Current Secret security clearance
Responsibilities:
- Assess a diverse operational landscape and determine industry best practices using information technology tools for automation and orchestration.
- Work and architect with multiple partners in a hybrid computing environment to ensure operational efficiencies across all platforms.
- Assess and plan for the organization’s future needs.
- Prepare governing principles and standards to guide future decision making pertinent to operational domain.
- Determine appropriate operational controls, tools and processes that supplement and enhance the organizations compute environment.
- Partner with IT Leadership team to lead delivery operational metrics.
- Provide guidance and counsel to IT executives and key members of the company leadership team.
- Remains current on endpoint monitoring technologies, architecture and operations trends.
- Perform engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management.
- Interview experienced candidates.
- Perform daily standups delivering operational health metrics to various stakeholders
- Establish SOP’s and Policy on operational reporting and after action reports
- Lead and design robust change management practices for operational control of all DAF endpoints
- Lead and manage the daily activities of Tier 2 administrations, watch floor operators, and support engineers
Required Skills:
- Experience leading architecture and design of highly scalable, available, and elastic solutions that implement industry best practices.
- Expert in leading Operational excellence in projects of large-scale.
- Expert in leading technical migration, integration and consolidation activities.
- Prior Management experience leading large-scale initiatives.
- Ability to develop point papers, briefings and presentations, and make formal oral presentations of these materials to all levels of government personnel.
- 15+ years of experience in at least two IT disciplines (enterprise architecture, IT operations, solution architecture, data architecture, application development, infrastructure). Bachelor’s degree in relevant field my be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience; Master’s degree in related field may be substituted for Bachelor’s degree and 3 years relevant experience.
- 5 years’ experience in service management technologies in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
- Experience implementing and tracking service level or metrics reporting.
- Experience developing best practices for production support and governance.
- Experience overseeing operational management policies and procedures.
- Prior experience providing operational management and support across wide geographical area(s).
Desired Skills:
- Relevant DoD Cyber Security focused experience
- Financial background/experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration/Accounting, or other relevant field.

$99,800 - $219,600
