Job Summary:

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team responsible for developing next generation multi-spectral (infrared, low-light, and visible light) imaging systems. Candidates must be self-motivated, able to work independently as well as collaboratively on complex systems, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design and implement low level hardware interfacing software for optimal integration of imaging sensors, using asymmetric multiprocessing techniques, in a multithreaded environment. Exposure to commercial, real-time operating systems, for example Linux, FreeRTOS, VxWorks, etc. for various hardware platforms is a plus.
• Design and implement real-time multi-processor communication methodologies.
• Implement complex serial and packetized protocols on Ethernet, MS1553, ARINC, CAN, and/or serial connections, such as TCP/IP, RTP, NMEA, JSON.
• Use of version control software, Perforce, GIT or similar tools.
• Collaborate with FPGA, Electrical, and Mechanical engineers during all phases of design, development, and testing of the software.
• Create and develop a team environment, including building collaborative relationships and participating in cross-discipline coalitions to ensure knowledge is shared across teams and projects.

Job Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or applicable technical field. 
• The successful candidate will have 10+ years of embedded real time development experience for multithreaded software.
• Complete command of the C/C++ programming language and object-oriented design methods fluency are required. Familiarity with software development, configuration management, and defect tracking tools is assumed.
• Experience with Linux kernel drivers and interfacing to custom hardware
• Experience with 3D graphics rendering engines, especially in the area of augmented reality.
• Familiarity with the Qt Application Framework, particularly using QML.

As a key operational player within Duke Energy, the Grid Engineer ensures the safe, reliable operation of the Distribution system while also supporting transformative initiatives to improve the customer experience.  The grid engineer assesses and directs the operations performed on the Distribution system in Duke Energy Florida.  Key skills in this position for success are clear, direct communication, technical expertise, and strategic planning for future operations and growth. 

This position will be located at the Distribution Control Center (DCC) in St. Petersburg, FL and reports to the Manager of Grid Management. This position will be responsible for supporting distribution automation (Self-Healing Teams, ATS, VMS, DMS, IVVC, Sensors), outage coordination, service restoration, switching and tagging, and major equipment operations for the Duke Energy Florida Distribution system. Grid Management supports a 24/7 Distribution Control Center and the incumbent may be required to be on-call from time to time. This position will evaluate system operations while coordinating with planning engineering, field operations employees, and management. The grid engineer is responsible for making recommendations and leading improvements that optimize the performance of the distribution grid.

This is the career/senior level of the Engineering classification. This position provides engineering/technical expertise to solve more complex problems and leadership skills to provide oversight and direction of work in a specific area of expertise, with some supervision.  Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and the ability to work with greater independence.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• The GBP Training Advisor will advise the GBP in the development of their Training Program and curriculum with emphasis on basic instruction, retraining, and training for promotion.

Job Description

DPR Construction is seeking a senior project engineer with a minimum of 5 years of commercial construction experience.  Project engineer responsibilities will be on commercial projects within our core markets: advanced technology, commercial, healthcare, higher education and life sciences. Project engineers will work closely with all members of the project team and will be responsible for the following:

• Participation and application of DPR’s environmental health and safety plan to constantly maintain injury-free environments including performing weekly safety audits.
• Mentor, develop and train team members for fast-paced growth.
• Management of other project engineer team members.
• Understanding and enforcement of contracts, including between DPR and subcontractors as well as DPR and the owner.
• Assist superintendent and project manager in the implementation of DPR policies and the execution of the project.
• Organizing the duties of other engineers, field office coordinator, project accountant and other assigned project staff. This includes providing direction, prioritization, and performance feedback.
• Participation in trainings and company meetings to facilitate individual and company growth.
• Organizing and electronically archiving project files for easy access by the project team.
• Preparation, monitoring, and updating project schedules.  Working with the superintendent to impact the schedule with project constraints.
• Preparation, maintenance, and implementation of various document control entities such as daily reports, material procurement logs, submittal logs, as-builts, testing and inspection logs, RFI logs, and change order logs.
• Distribution of new drawings, changes, approved submittals, RFI responses, and other project information to all affected parties.
• Identifying, assembling, negotiating, and distributing change orders to both the owner and subcontractors.
• Preparing agendas, documents, meeting minutes, and actions for various meetings including owner/architect/contractor meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, safety meetings, and staff meetings.
• Participating in project cost control. This includes maintaining internal records and working with subcontractors to make sure changes are getting paid.
• Preparing owner billing by assembling DPR costs, receiving and reviewing subcontractor invoices and organizing the documents in accordance with the owner’s requirements. 

Qualifications

We are looking for a flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. The successful candidate will possess:

• Organized work approach with the ability to adapt and adjust as required to support the projects’ current needs.
• Detailed knowledge of the assigned project scopes with a 100% hands-on approach.
• A desire to seek out and resolve construction problems/conflicts that arise during design and construction phases.
• Goal-orientated approach to promptly coordinate and resolve project issues within the project team (including interfacing with designers, engineers, and owners).
• Excellent listening and strong communication skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Effective participation in team environment.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (CMiC, Prolog or similar), scheduling software (Primavera or similar) and BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks or similar).
• 5+ years of experience as a project engineer, preferably within DPR’s core markets.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or related field.
• A strong work ethic, a “can-do” attitude and a passion for construction.

 Job Summary:

• To represent Product Assurance as part of a new US-based sonar development team to deliver development and acceptance testing to software and hardware development. A major part of this role will be managing and maintain a test boat which will be based close to the development team.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain readiness of a Teledyne-owned boat which will be located close to the development team
• Provide Captain and or crew support for the test boat
• Manage the boat to a defined budget
• Ensure seatrials are safely deployed at all times
• Ensure planned maintenance routines are carried out on the hull and fitted equipment
• Provide installation support & guidance for the fitting of Raymarine test products
• Liaise with local marinas and boat maintainers to achieve the above
• Requirements Capture – Input to requirements capture for assigned projects from a mariners and/or test perspective
• Product Qualification – Develop via analysis; create and conduct complex test plans that can be used by other team members to assess product performance & reliability
• Engineering QA – provide resource to control product build status/issue within product development.
• Benchmarking – conduct comparison/benchmark tests as a part of research & development for new and potential products
• Quality policy – ensure all activities meet the spirit of the policy
• Personal training – identify additional training appropriate for current or future work
• Carry out and contribute to risk assessments of issues from a mariner or user’s perspective

Job Qualifications:
 

Formal Education/Qualifications required:

• Formal qualification in a technical discipline preferred (electrical, electronic or software test) or
• On the job training to an equivalent standard or

The following would be essential:

• 3 Years + experience in a relevant technical role
• Boating experience as a regular crew or skipper
• Ability to install electronic/electrical equipment on a Sports Fishing Boat

The following would be desirable but not essential:

• Boat skipper qualifications
• Graduate in a relevant engineering discipline
• Experience in the US Sports Fishing market
• Relevant product testing experience
• Ability to use PC applications

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for leading the technical design, development and integration of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems and provide enhancements to existing technologies. The role works on complex issues involving one or more technical areas, mentoring employees, and performing tasks of advanced technical depth and breadth.

The Senior Software Engineer collaborates with developers, architects, and infrastructure specialists to gather requirements and conduct research to evaluate the application of new and emerging tools and techniques, identifying patterns and best practices to consider in technology proposals while anticipating long term business issues. The role devises new methods and procedures using strong analytic and inductive thinking, developing project plans based on appropriate standards and methodology.

Work arrangement

This is a hybrid role with an expectation to be in office at least 2 days per week in Chicago Downtown, rest of the days maybe remote.

 

What you will be doing

• You will be joining CIBC’s Bank USA Application Development team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be building software solutions using languages and technologies of the .NET framework. You will create applications from scratch, configure existing systems and provide user support.

• In this role, you should be able to write functional code with a sharp eye for spotting defects. You should be a collaborator and excellent communicator. If you are also enthusiastic about the .NET framework and software design/architecture, we would like to meet you.

• Your goal will be to collaborate with internal teams to design, develop and maintain software.
