IT Services is looking for an experienced developer to provide best practice technical expertise in web application development and integration for the University’s Applicant System, SITS.
SITS is integral to our applicant process at UWE. This role will be responsible to configure, design, and develop new functionality, including implementation. Provide day to day support for the application to numbers of users, undertake regular application upgrades, and provide analysis support. The Senior Engineer (Web) role will work alongside other Engineers, Analysts and Testers in Agile delivery teams to deliver new services and integrations for the myUWE platform.

About you:
It would be good for you to have a strong SITS development background with experience of integrating and supporting the SITS application. Training will be provided to right candidate, if required.
You are someone wo is motivated, effective team worker who can work independently and keen to continuously learn new technologies (including SITS).
It would be desirable to have experience in SITS Development, using e:Vision and tasking and SRLs (Standard Report Letters), web development technologies and SITS Cloud experience is desirable.
In addition, you will also have experience of Microsoft SQL and have a track record of adopting best practice coding standards, including application security and accessibility. Good to have experience of working in agile delivery teams.

This is a full-time, permanent post, working 37 hours per week.
This post is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part time.
Hybrid working – largely remote with travel to campus as required. If you’d prefer you can work on campus as much as you like.
