This is a 12 Month Fixed Term/Secondment Role



The End User Support Senior Engineer is an on site role andwill assist the Team Leader with the development and support of the end user support team, providing desktop support across the trust, and all community sitesin line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and in accordance with appropriate standards.



The post holder will be expected to deliver and maintain end user operational services through the timely resolution of incidents and requests and will act as a point of escalation for more complex end user support issues.



The Trust operates a 7-day per week operational service, and it is expected that the End user Support Team supports these hours. Hence, there is a requirement to work weekends and evenings with the existing IT Service Desk shift system.



The post holder will be expected to take part in an on-call scheme operated via a Rota system,beresponsiblefor the installation and support of IT equipment and softwarein line with established procedures, to support standard operations and the rollout of new projects within the Trust.

The post holder will manage and participate in the support of IT systems and projects having a detailed knowledge of systems and infrastructure required to diagnose and resolve complex integrated technical issues. Provide and receive complex or sensitive information and escalations from junior colleagues as part of the role, using technical abilities to ensure calls are resolved quickly or escalated to the appropriate team or specialist. This applies to both technical issues, complaints and staff disputes. Tocontinually make decisions about technical escalations, reacting to emerging technical situations and dealing with IT issues.Follow standard operating procedures for the progress and resolution of complex calls and provide feedback to customers and technical teams.Plan and organise day to day activities around managing work queues and priorities. There are likely to be times where planned work will need to be adjusted due to variable workload or higher priority calls coming in. Supervision of more junior staff to meet workload demands and appropriate skill mix .Provide training and guidance / shadowing for new starters within the department. To participate in testing of IM&T systems proposed for use within the team or wider organisation as required.

Role Overview:

My client is a Leading Construction and Civil Engineering Company.

They are currently delivering a major highways upgrade project in the Chesterfield area and require support in the form of a Senior Engineer - Roadworks and Civils.

This is a long-term contract position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Managing Site Team and working closely with the Agent and all PRS North delivery team members:

You will be responsible in the support of the following:

Managing all site queries and TQ coming from the design

Supporting with incoming technical queries from site and working with the design team to find suitable solutions

Ensuring that site surveys and records are recorded collated and provided as required

Managing the on-site co-ordination of activities

Working with the Supervisors and suppliers to developing and review safe systems of work.

Ensuring compliance with safe systems of work

Ensuring all works comply with highways and project specification and drawings leading on this and supporting the Agent and Senior Agent

Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with approved ITP

Carrying out quality assurance inspections and completing ITP check sheets manging this process with the Agent

Ensuring all activities on site are recorded through daily diaries, production control schedules and photographs

Update delivery schedules on a weekly basis with the Agent and Senior Agent

Reviewing drawings and raising technical queries relating to the design team

If required Deliver workforce briefings and Inductions

Supporting on night-shifts if the project operations ask for this

Due to continued success and rapid growth, they are looking to onboard a Senior Site Engineer to join their team.


Your new role
As Senior Site Engineer you will be based at their sites in the East Midlands and be responsible for, but not limited to, supervising and monitoring the labour force, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, resolving technical issues, ensuring full compliance with health and safety at all times as well as setting out, levelling and surveying the sites.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will ideally have at least 3 years' experience in the water sector or experience working on major infrastructure schemes. In addition, you will also have a degree/HND/HNC in Civil Engineering (or experience equivalent) as well as CSCS card and full UK driving licence. Finally, you will have excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

We are a looking for a Senior Structural Engineer with a background in building structures design to work from a Derby office.

As a Senior Structural Engineer you will be working on a range of projects from private residential alterations, through new build, commercial and education and should be able to demonstrate experience in completing structural surveys and design work on projects in these sectors. Experience working with steel, concrete and masonry is required, and Chartered status with IStructE would be advantageous.

You will also be responsible for leading the team of more junior engineers, providing direction and oversight for their work and taking active responsibility on major projects for the business.

Candidates must have at least 5 years previous experience working to British Standards and Eurocodes to comply with UK legislation on the required projects, and you must have excellent written technical English with demonstrable experience in producing accurate reports.

We are a looking for a Senior Civil Engineer with a background in residential developments to work from a Derby office.

As a Senior Civil Engineer you will have a background that includes a minimum 2:1 BEng or MEng degree in Civil or Structural engineering, and be near to or recently chartered with the ICE or IStructE.

The right person for this Senior Civil Engineer role will have a minimum of 5-6 years relevant experience in civil/infrastructure UK consultancy engineering. You will need to have a driving licence and use of your own car for site visits and meetings, and must be able to manage your own workload efficiently and flexibly to achieve required deadlines whilst maintaining quality.

Your experience in working on residential developments should include the production of - and gaining approval for - S38, S278 and S104 packages. A clear understanding of current design standards for both roads and drainage including local authority, national and regulatory guidance and planning policy will be required.

Proficient in the use of MicroDrainage (or Causeway Flow), along with Causeway PDS and/or Civil 3D and will be required.

You will be responsible for the design and delivery of multiple projects at various stages from conception through to completion at both a local and national level, and will need to be skilled in Flood Risk Assessment and Drainage Strategy report writing as well as Cut and Fill ground modelling and Production of Site Appraisals.

The role will include regular contact with clients, other design team members and attendance at meetings.
