Lead Azure DevOps Engineer

We have a new opportunity for a reliable and experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in Sunderland.

What's on offer?

• Monday to Thursday, 07:00 to 17:00
• £17.06 per hour - overtime available
• Full-time permanent position

Working as a Electrical Maintenance Engineer, your main duties will involve creating a maintenance plan for the company's equipment; and establishing maintenance policies and procedures. Combined with the following:

• Ensuring that Maintenance Technicians carry out planned maintenance
• Conducting frequent quality checks on equipment to ensure no maintenance is required
• Completing emergency maintenance when equipment breaks down
• Managing the budget for the maintenance of equipment
• Keeping a record of preventive and emergency maintenance carried out
• Ensuring the organisation complies with safety regulations while maintenance takes place

To be successful you will have previous experience in an electrical maintenance role, have knowledge of 415v 3 phase motors. Combined with the following skills and traits:

• Being comfortable and competent working at heights
• Competent testing and fault finding electrical machinery
• Flexibility and capable of undertaking general maintenance throughout the site
• Knowledge of Hydraulic equipment - advantageous

Job Description:

• 3-5 years experience
• Listen to the needs of technical and business stakeholders, and interpret them

Randstad are looking for a full time Electrical Design Engineer to work on school refurbishments across North Tyneside. The right candidate must have over 3 years experience and can work independently on projects. The role is to start immediately for 18-24 months.

• Management:

• Lead small teams, including consultants and trainees.
• Ensure compliance with statutory duties and contribute to service plans.
• Promote team performance, development, and high standards of customer service.

• Develop conceptual and detailed electrical designs.
• Prepare engineering documents (e.g., drawings, calculations, reports).
• Ensure compliance with British Standards, Building Regulations, and energy efficiency goals.
• Oversee and vet designs from external consultants.
• Support construction processes, including site visits, installation monitoring, and testing.

• Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Manage quality assurance activities and prepare tender documentation.
• Lead or assist in projects related to council property investments and energy optimization.

• Utilize design software (AutoCAD, Revit) and maintain expertise in BIM processes.
• Promote the use of innovative solutions to enhance environmental sustainability.

• Relevant academic/professional qualifications (e.g., BEng/BSc, HND/HNC in Electrical Building Services Engineering).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with AutoDesk Revit and MagiCAD.
• Working towards Chartered Engineer status.
• Management qualifications.

• Ability to travel and access construction sites.
• Flexible working arrangements, including occasional evening meetings.
• DBS check required.
