Required Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, detail and assembly drawings, measuring instruments, and PCB design approaches for Hi-Speed circuitry.

Summary

Key Role:

Job Description

The Senior Product Quality Engineer will be responsible for driving the execution of quality goals and objectives with a strong emphasis on New Product Introduction (NPI).  The ability to leverage prior experience and expertise during the early stages of product design to contribute in terms of Design for Reliability, Durability, Manufacturability/Assembly and Testability is essential. This position requires the ability to proactively drive actions internally and throughout the supply base, including manufacturing partners and tier one suppliers to meet internal and external customer expectations for quality.

Job Description

The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for executing test plans provided by the Mechanical Engineering team.  The individual will assist engineering team to create prototypes and conduct prototype rework. The individual will be required to ensure lab equipment is calibrated and purchase components needed for prototyping.This position will require you to be in office 5 days out of the week.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Execute test plans as instructed by Mechanical Engineering Team
• Record and report result in a neat, concise and accurate manner
• Participate in prototype assembly builds; and procure necessary components such as glue, tape, screws, and tools
• Use of shop equipment (3D printers, laser cutter, lathe, mill, various standard shop tools) to create test fixtures and mechanical parts
• Use of various test instrumentation including Instron, CMM, polariscopes, calipers, drop testing equipment, microscopes, environmental chambers, tumble tester
• Maintains the engineering lab in good working order and takes care of all tools and instruments
• Ensures tools and equipment calibration is up to date
• Completes test activities in a thorough and timely manner
• Perform all other duties as assigned and required
• Effectively work on multiple assignments with engineering teams
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality Assurance, Product Quality Engineering, and Industrial Design teams to develop test plans
• Fulfill responsibilities under ISO 9001 and 14001; understand and fully support ISO system

The Opportunity:

Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As a DevOps engineer, you’re eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client’s needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to help us develop container management software to solve some of our clients’ toughest challenges. 
 
As a platform DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change. On our team, you’ll strengthen your skills using the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment with current container software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps platform knowledge, you’ll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process.

You’ll work with your team to recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you’ll gain DevOps skills and experience while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms.

You Have:

• 2+ years of experience with development of tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments

• 2+ years of experience with troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues related to CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness 

• Experience with developing enterprise cloud-native solutions 

• Experience with creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment

• Knowledge of developing, managing, and securing containers

• Secret clearance

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experience in DevOps in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with developing enterprise cloud-native solutions involving Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Jenkins, or Azure

• Knowledge of creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks

• Knowledge of creating and improving continuous deployment tools built on Kubernetes

• Knowledge of triaging and resolving issues related to both open source and commercial tools in public cloud environments

• Knowledge of scripting languages, including Python or Linux Shell Script

• Top Secret clearance
