Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a Reliability Engineer with a background in process, mechanical, chemical, or a similar engineering discipline to support environmental remediation projects for a major oil and gas client in Northwest Indiana (greater Chicago area). In this role, you will apply engineering principles, client protocols, and industry best practices to operations, maintenance, and optimization efforts for a variety of groundwater remediation systems at an active oil refinery. The Reliability Engineer must be versatile, and enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team-oriented environments and have exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and optimize system performance relative to pump curves and design setpoints. Develop and update system curves.
- Review system data to support maintenance efforts, operational adjustments, and/or design changes.
- Review, update, and/or develop project engineering documents, drawings, and contractor job notes.
- Support non-routine projects including scope development and management of change (MoC) oversight.
- Support site-wide Pipe Management Program via the development of pipe maintenance plans and investigation of pipe corrosion and clogging incidents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Material, or similar)
- 3+ years related work experience is required
- Familiarity of industry practices and regulations is required
- Experience with environmental remediation projects or engineering support in the oil and gas industry is a plus
- Familiarity with utilizing SAP for maintenance tracking and KPI reporting is a plus
- Proven ability to perform in a lead capacity
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) and typically 3+ years of related work experience. In addition, an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate may be required (or other related certifications).

Salary Range:
$59,300.00 - $119,700.00
