Job Opportunity – Fire & Security Lead Engineer – London WC2A
Our client has a 20 year history of working within a variety of industries providing a complete end-to-end fire alarm service and compliance solution to businesses across the UK.
Originally set up by a group of experienced Fire Alarm Specialists the company has since grown to become one of the leading suppliers of alarm management systems within the UK. Their mission is to provide fully accredited fire detection products and services to multi-site organisations across the healthcare, education and manufacturing sectors.
On offer is a salary of up to £45,000 plus bonus, rail card (zones 1 to 6), 25 days holiday, laptop, mobile phone, and no callout rota.
As the Fire & Security Lead Engineer you will be organising the engineering teams day to day workload to achieve the agreed customer and company service levels for sales, projects and service. This will include planned maintenance, reactive calls and remedials. The Lead Engineer will also manage both directly employed and sub-contracted teams and materials for small works and provide first-line technical support to the team as well as carrying our high level commissioning. All of this based at one large static site in Central London WC2.
The Fire & Security Lead Engineer will be responsible for:
Ensuring all activities are carried out safely and to required Health and Safety standards.
Managing a site based team of engineers to ensure specific contract related KPI’s including planned maintenance, 1st / 2nd time fix and response times) are met and where possible exceeded.
Taking care of and managing the development of any apprentices.
Preparing for work by mobilising, issuing RAMS and ensuring both the required team members and equipment is available as needed.
Ensuring all reports are completed by the team on time and accurately including IRIS/SimPro, maintenance tick sheets as well as customer specific workflow sheets.
To be considered as the Fire & Security Lead Engineer you will need:
To be able to represent the company at a senior level with the customer and within the company.
To be able to build, develop and motivate a site engineering team.
To have an excellent knowledge of Gent including networking.
Experience of head end tools i.e., Gent WinMag and/or DraxAMX.
Good fire alarm technical and application knowledge with BS5839-1 training.
Good installation skills and experience.
Health and Safety Supervisory experience.
DBS Clearance – enhanced level.
CSCS / ECS card.
IPAF / PASMA / Asbestos Awareness certification.
Electrical Qualifications and experience.
